Wednesday Walk ~ The Panther Trail Area
On my walk today, I'll be showing a few more photos from the Panther Trail Area. The Panther Trail is, yet, another area that is part of the Gunpowder Falls State Park.
This area of the Gunpowder Falls is located near Monkton, Maryland. Oh and fyi, the Gunpowder Falls State Park still has so many areas that I've not even been to yet so (heads up..lol) there will be more posts and photos to come including an area known as "Pot Rocks".
One of the first things I ran into on the Panther Trail was some remnants of, what looked like, an old foundation.
I don't know how old this next piece is. It looks in pretty good shape which leads me to believe that it may not be as old as one might think. Then again, things built long ago seem like they were made to last a long time. Regardless, I couldn't find any info on it but I thought it was still interesting looking.
This part of the trail was easy and mostly level.
The ferns in this area were very pretty.
They really added a bit of "flare" to the landscape. 😉
There were pretty flowers also.
I placed some of them into a collage.
The trees against the sky looked especially beautiful on this day!
We only walked along the trail part way because I came to the conclusion that I've been pushing myself way too hard on some of my outings.
We stayed on the Panther Trail just a little further but once it took a big uphill turn then I knew I had to turn back. But before we turned back, I found some cool looking mushrooms.
We turned around right about here to head back. This is the clearing that we started and ended at. There were so many buttercups in this clearing.
I'm ending my walk today the way I started it, with a nice cool shot of the water!
