Aswan at Dusk. True photographers seems to never sleep, especially while travelling :) Joking of course, but still some truth in those words exist when coming to landscape photography, since most amazing shots you can get while dusk or dawn. So here we go, early morning in Aswan, the morning when we arrived there by cruise ship from Luxor.
Shot with long tele-photo lens from the upper deck of the ship. Enjoy the scenery :)

Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

When you think Uganda, you might not think palm trees, but it's the perfect climate for them. I took this photo during my visit to Kampala. In fact, I took it on my way to a delicious breakfast the morning before I left the country!

Thank you so much for your submission. Have a good one.

I've seen many countries, but my home is still my favourite... South Africa. This was taken on a late afternoon run, looking out over the Stellenbosch Winelands. Table mountain is visible on the horizon right behind me. What a sunset!

Sun coming up over africa, be careful it is cold, cold, cold. Put on everything you have. Grab some hot tea, and watch the show! The snows of Kili are now below you and the world is waking up. One of the most beautiful sunrises of my life.

See my post on this on my blog @snowyknight.

Wow, that is superb, like being on the top of the world.

Thanks and glad you like it!!!!!! Cheers for the cool contest!

It was so surreal to be driving down the highway in Cairo then all of a sudden we could see the great pyramids of Giza. I guess ancient mega structures in the landscape is the norm for the locals but I sure was blowen away with it.

Some great sightseeing right of the car:)

Tourist who overnight at Otjitotongwe cheetah guest farm can have an encounter with them and that was probably the most exciting experience of my life. I was scared, I have to admit that. Being face to face with a predator gives me a good reason to be!

Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakech

Right next to Jama el Fna, the largest square in Africa, the Koutoubia Mosque is a widely visible landmark in Marrakech. Right next to it, dozens of horse carriage drivers are waiting for tourists - this one got lucky.

Thank you so much for your entry. Have a great day!

Located south of Douz, Ksar Ghilane is a dream oasis, near the desert. Ocher sand planted with palm trees, dunes and camels, hot springs ... a true paradise
Ksar Ghilane is the ideal stop if you come from Tozeur and you have planned a circuit to Tataouine or Djerba in the direction of Tozeur or Tamerza.
And if you do not have time for a tour, Ksar Ghilane will give you a good overview of the magic of the desert, the ocher color and more!
A short visit of the village will make you discover the legendary hospitality of the people of the south. The inhabitants of the village are all children of the desert. For the schooling of their children, they had to settle down, but remain deeply attached to the desert
Here it is the breeding, the culture of dates and the walks in camels, which make it possible to live. The camel drivers, desert lovers and faithful to their traditions, "desert experts", will make you discover and share their way of life and their values.

Camels are some incredible animals, tough as rock.

Located in the town of Kom-Ombo, about 28 miles north of Aswan, the Temple, dating to the Ptolemy’s, is built on a high dune overlooking the Nile. The actual temple was started by Ptolemy VI Philometor in the early second century BC. Ptolemy XIII built the outer and inner hypostyle halls. The outer enclosure wall and part of the court were built by Augustus sometime after 30 BC, and are mostly gone.

Enjoy the scenery :)
