Halloween 4 Review

Today's Author Showcase starts off with a topic that I really like - horror movies - specifically, Halloween 4: the Return of Michael Myers. For those of you that do not already know @deckershado is one of the best at doing online movie reviews. Anyone really, can type up a few paragraphs about a movie, when done well the reviews can be great. Decker however takes things to a whole other level. He creates his own little video masterpieces for each film review he does.

If you haven't checked out his video reviews now is as a good a time as any to get hooked on them as he is in the middle of The Summer of Halloween (imagine I said that in the voice he uses in the video). His video reviews always have spot on critiques of the films splashed with his own brand of comedy and great production value.

The Horseman - last steps

Next up is a great illustration of The Horseman by @djacbaweur. They share a lot of the process photos for this one so we can watch it all come together. I really like the end result, especially the look of the horse.

It is great when an instrumental piece of music can move you and keep you interested from start to finish. @lyon89 put together this great piece that brings together a number of instruments to do just that. Many in the comments section have pointed out how they feel it could be a musical score of some sort. I definitely agree with that. As previously mentioned I am a Halloween movie franchise fan and I can definitely picture sections of this piece being played within some of the films. It is almost eerie how well some of it would fit into the film.

The only way to fully experience this one is for you to go listen for yourself.

Introduce Your Job. Pawnbroking

I now share a unique type of post. Author @shai-hulud had a great idea for an #introduceyourjob tag. Here is what he said about it -

I think the #introduceyourself post is a great way for steemians to come on board and I think that the #introduceyourjob tag could provide a really good supplementary writing prompt for those that are new to steemit and at the same time the rest of us get to learn and gain appreciation for the work of others on top of this it could open the door to real world project collaborations.

I really do like the idea behind the tag. In his post he shares his own job as a Pawnbroker as well as some of the history behind the "second oldest profession" in the world. It is great to see the insights into an often misunderstood profession that can become even more confusing with its portrayal on reality television.

GHOST FLIGHT [A SUPERNATURAL STORY]

Today we close out the Author Showcase like I often like to do, with a great short story. This week author @abmakko brings us the story of a young man on his first flight. An often nerve-wracking experience for anyone, but for this young man it turns out much differently than any of us were expecting.
