Super Nova LP
To avoid possible FOMO or New Conspiracy Theory, Raving Foxes are going to stick to the facts and leave the space for interpretation to you, but obviously we will be pleased to read it in the comment section.
After a huge success of ultimate dance floor classic THE WARLORD - THE ULTIMATE WARLORD originally released in 1978, the whole world was curious about next choons from guys responsible for that gem: Daniel Boone, Muff Murfin and Mark Oxford aka David Byron. When a German music label from Berlin, Private Records, focused on science fiction, fantasy and horror themed vintage music 1970's and 80's came up with the most suitable offer for the guys, it was just a matter of time when they will provide another intergalactic tracks. However comparing this record to anything else from space and cosmic disco scene can be close to impossible.
Intergalactic Orchestra - Talk down
12" vinyl album has been produced and released in 1979 as The Intergalactic Orchestra - Super Nova LP. Nine oddly twisted garage disco chapters or independent but related novels about heroes and space. One huge musical journey through and across the unknown void, surrounded by spooky and strange low-fi effects as well as very sophisticated arrangements and innovative ideas. The whole album can surprise with references, like Pink Floyd in the closing track Star Flying. Opening Star Probe Navigator, provides direct connection with THE ULTIMATE WARLORD, but with extended lyrics and intention to explore the sounds further. Super Nova LP is one to sit down for, one that keeps you on the edge like a well written story.
The Intergalactic Orchestra - Demon God
Perhaps the first expressions or expectations of the label owners were different. Perhaps there was something different. It is hard to guess, it is unethical to lie but only few copies of this LP were sold, because album was banned quickly after the release date in 1979. After 32 years, in 2011 it was luckily digged, remastered and repressed, giving second life for this pearl, elevating price of originally limited edition to 150-300$ per LP.
