I Quit Drinking Coffee But I Needed It

I quit drinking coffee because it affects my sleep but I reverted back because I needed it to perk me up during the times that I wanted to zap my brain so that I could write and stuff like the. Many years ago I was a coffee addict, in fact I would just tremble and get headaches when caffeine level is low so I would have to have a cup in order to get it fixed.

The effect of coffee when you have withdrawal symptoms would disappear just like that when you drink a cup. That is why I am hooked because I couldn't quit as the withdrawal symptoms are nasty. I drinked it excessively and it is my way of trying to eat during the times that I really can't eat because I use it just for me to be able to swallow the foods that I eat.

But now I am just using it sparingly so that I will not get addicted and affect my sleep again. But ecen though I am drinking it now it doesn't affect my sleep and I am happy for it.

Coffee Makes Us Happy

I really liked the mood-altering effects of coffee and it saved me from getting depressed with my condition so I am glad a bit that it did affect my life positively regarding my thought process. It is also the reason that I didn't quit it a long time ago. But of course it has side-effects like stomach upset and I noticed it when I had more than four cups and it is a nasty thing because I am certain to have a tummy ache particularly in dialysis so I am glad that I am not drinking it excessively anymore.

Coffee is also said to affect the bones and make it brittle. I think it was also the cause of my bones getting deformed so i am not proud that I am not hooked up with it although I still drink it. Anyway I am medicating my bones already so for me I am just doing things in moderation since I really needed coffee at times.

I wished That I Hadn't Started Drinking Coffee

Coffee I think is still good if taken in moderation but I got addicted to it a long time ago because it is the only thing that is available in the house that I can get when I wanted to have a drink so it is just coffee all the time. Plus my mother drinks it all the time too and I got influenced by her.

I was also weaned in drinking milk when I was younger and my mother used it as an alternative to milk until one day she said that the bottle was already broken. From that point on I was already drinking coffee instead of hot cocoa or other drinks.

But of course I wished that I was not hooked up in drinking it in the first place because it affected my bones I believe especially those that contain creamers as they have phosphates in them, a phosphorus in my body that affected my Parathyroid and there by made my bones to leach Calcium into my system rsulting in me developing the Leontiasis and giving me the pains and disabilities that I have now.

Pineapple Juice Is A Great Substitute

I am just drinking more pineapple juice from a can mostly, it was the drink that I substituted when I am quitting coffee. It worked and also I am glad that i didn't suffer from coffee withdrawal like headaches and such when I am in the process of quitting.

Having a bitter taste in my mouth also helped me in not drinking coffee anymore because it worsens my bitter taste so that is why I just decided not to drink coffee but instead I had chosen the pineapple juice and it worked plus I get to have extra phytonutrients and calories from having it everyday which I needed since I could not get much calories from my food.

A little coffee wont hurt every now and then,im sure you can manage. Im making a coffee right now in your honor, i just drink 1 cup every now and then too.

Yes I shouldn't just take it very much because of its bad effects to my bones.

I go through at least 4 cups daily. Black, no sugar. Love the stuff. And I sleep like a baby. And the worst withdrawal symptom I have ever had is a mild headache. Different drugs affect different people differently. BTW, be careful with the pineapple juice. Lots of sugar in there and a few recent studies have shown serious insulin spikes from fruit juice.

Yes right now I am taking it if needed like to avert drowsiness in times that I needed to be awake. I can still sleep despite of drinking it at noon too. And thanks for the reminder, I often drink it with a mix of water and only about 450 mL per day @evronm

Nothing like a good cup of coffee in the morning 👌🏾 that’s the only time I drink it. On weekends I may sip in the afternoon though
