Regrets Selling Steem Monsters Cards!!
Hey guys! If you guys have been playing Steem Monsters since release you honestly probably know me. I was a very prominent trader at the start, and was thus invited to write an article for Steem Monsters! You can see it here!
However, after a lot of trading and a lot of money made, I started to sell off my cards as I had already made a fair bit of profit and I had very little time to be trading cards since I had just got more students to tutor and had a lot of commitments at university.
Now that I think back, I wish I left more cards for myself. I was one of the first people to start collecting summoners, I had well over 100 of each summoner at one stage and max level summoners of every class. However, I sold all my summoners at around $0.20 each and my max level ones for $0.15 each. My commons I sold at around 0.04 Steem each, which is like $0.03 today and rares were sold under $0.10 each too.
However, now's not the time to dwell! After a few good deals, I managed to get myself a few golden alpha cards and I also have 320 beta booster packs coming in after the fundition/kickstarter stuff come through!
I plan on opening those packs, combining and battling!
I see why you regret it, but I think there will be many more opportunities to make a profit from Steemmonsters in the coming few years.
Yes, I too believe that Steem Monsters will have many opportunities and that everyone playing now are early adopters! I think the alpha set will become extremely rare once more people play, since there are only like ~200-300 of each golden rare, which is why I'm trying very hard to buy as many as possible while the prices are still so low.
Yep, I think the alpha golden cards might be very valuable if the game turns out to be as successful as we hope/think it will eventually be. Even the regular alpha cards might even be worth a little something a few years from now.
I wanted to sell my cards aswell, but luckily I waited :D
My whole collection value went from 225$ (Before battles) to 330$ (after battles)
I was around on steemmonsters from the very first days, I even remember when Legendaries were not purple :D
Haha that's not luck, that's good decision making!
At the time I wanted to profit a bit off bid bots but I felt like that was quite un-ethical so I stopped.
I also had not much time to keep up to date with things so I decided to just take my profits haha
But I think the same thing will hapen to beta cards prices, when the packs are gone.
I am slowly buying cheap commons I see on the market (Under $0.04)
I think beta cards will fall in price heaps soon which is why I'm not buying since the kick starter parks are coming out soon!
Yeah but there is only about 800 000 Beta packs still left overall.
If they are gone, it's IT.
No more beta cards can be aquired.
And keep in mind that people also level up, what makes it even less beta cards
That's true! We'll have to see how things go :)
Do you know if there is a quick way to check the value for all cards on a single account?
Steemmonsters discord, go ask there, they will help
Thanks for the suggestion! I might just do that :)
You can go onto the Steem Monsters discord and type in $stats "username"
Oh, that's nice! Thanks for checking it for me. $66 is not too bad; it's probably around what I spent on packs, so at least I haven't made a huge loss if I sell now (but of course I won't).
