#-Achievment 2: Basic security on steem
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
Yes I have and have kept them safe.
Do u know each of these key functions and their restrictions?
Yes I do. So far I've gotten to know more about the different steem keys which include: posting, active, owner, master password, Tron account, and memo keys. Their functions and restrictions are as follows;
-posting key
This key is one concerned with all social activities and interactions such as opvoting, commenting, posting etc. It is however restricted for money concerning actions and issues.
-memo key
This key is less often used. In a case where decryption and encryption of private messages are required, the memo key is the best option as that is it's only function.
-owner key
This is the most powerful and important steem key. It is very necessary for this key to be saved offline. Important functions of this key include granting approval for retrieving hacked accounts and also granting access to other keys including itself.
-tron account key
This key is used for receiving and transfering of TRX rewards. It has the highest influence on your Tron account and is used for signing Tron operations like voting, freezing and token transfer. It can however be used solely for Tron transactions alone.
-active key
This key grants access to more sensitive wallet-related activities such as; transfer of funds, powering up/down actions, voting for witnesses, access to profile and settings, converting SBD, and placing a market order.
It however is required to be stored carefully as access to this key can cause loss of tokens.
-master password
This is the most important key as it can be used to generate all other steem keys including the owner key. It is however only used in cases of account recovery and should be stored offline to avoid risk of being accessed.
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes I do. From my profile, i entered my wallet and clicked the drop down arrow on my steem. I chose the option transfer .
After choosing the transfer option a new page appeared on my screen where I had to fill in the amount of steem to be transfered as well the the steel user to receive the token.
The transaction was validated using my private active key.
Do you know how to power up your steem?
Yes I do! From my profile i entered my wallet and clicked the drop down arrow on my steel and chose the option power up.
After clicking on power up i inputted the amount of steel I wanted powered up on the page that appeared on my screen.
