Quarter 1 is done!
Can’t believe March is already over, the new year vibe for 2019 is at its end. Is everyone still keeping to their revolutions? Whoops, hope you’re not offended by that!😝
Steem has done well this month, going up as much as 27% since the beginning of the month. In fact we’re up 89% since the beginning of the year, when each Steem token was only worth $0.26! Is this the sign of the overall crypto industry coming back? Or has people regaining their confidence in this blockchain-based censorship-resistant content platform?
The end of Q1 means some we’re gonna bring some new stuff out into the world! For one, take a look at CoinGecko.com if you haven’t already, tell us what you see 😉. Expect some news from us over the weeks! It’s getting exciting!
1. Surprise Update!
We won’t spill the beans, but go to CoinGecko.com now! We’re changing the way the world views cryptocurrency and we promise this is the next “Revolutionary” update in the space!!
2. CoinGecko App V 1.2.10 is out!
Make sure you’ve upgraded your CoinGecko app to the latest version on the App Store and Play Store! This version has been optimized and will be smoother than the last version.
Feel free to leave your feedback and report any abnormalities when using the app! We have big plans for the CoinGecko mobile app and would like you to be a part of the journey by helping us know what you want!
3. More Intuitive Price Alert
We’ve made it easier for you to set price alert on CoinGecko so you won’t miss any sudden price surge of your favourite coin!
Just click on your target price rise/fall and we’ll automatically let you know (set desktop notification for CoinGecko.com y’allz!) if and when it hits!
4. UI update for smaller smartphones
Anyone still rocking that iPhone 3 or 4? No worries! We know that using CoinGecko.com on your tiny mobile used to be a hassle, so we did something about it. There is no longer any User Interface users when viewing CoinGecko.com website through a smaller phone.
That being said, if you haven’t been using CoinGecko website on your phone, why not try the App instead! It looks much better on small screen and lighter on your RAM and mobile data. Win!!
5. Separated Total/Circulating Supply Columns when sorting coins by Chain data
Do you know you can view coins by on-chain data on CoinGecko.com? As you all know, CoinGecko tracks more than just price and exchanges of cryptocurrencies. For coins where data is available, you can see the number of Nodes, TPS, Current Block Number etc of each coin.
The latest changes also means you can view each coin’s latest supply count so you can more easily gather information as you scroll over the coins.
On another note, We would like to reach out to any developer/witness who can help us with providing updated Steem’s Chain data API so that we can also track Steem’s latest TPS, Block Number .etc
6. Various API Fixes
There were some issues with certain Exchange’s API that causes prices to not show properly. We’ve implemented the fixes and they were subsequently fixed.

Coins and ICO
We added 61 new coins and 25 ICO/IEO to our platform from the 2nd to 15th of March.
HUNT Token IEO is now tracked on CoinGecko! Don’t miss the IEO (Steem ecosystem’s very first Token Sale tracked on CoinGecko) and support the Steemhunt platform.
Exchanges
We've added 10 new exchange over the past 14 days.
We can honestly say that we've done quite a few stuff over the past 2 weeks. Frankly, we still have much more in the pipeline.
2019 really going to be the year where we #BUIDLBUIDLBUIDL, we foresee the space to grow much more mature by the end of 2019 and we are doing our part to offer more for our community members, that includes Steemians!

Coin personality? I like it. Let's find some fun ones.
I like the Social capitalization, but it's weird with STEEM. You go to STEEM to escape twitter, so our social capitalization should be higher than it actually is.
And now it hits me. April Fools. I like it. (I saw this on March 31st so I thought it was legit.)
