A romantic dinner at Pepenero
I spent a romantic dinner with my wife at Pepe Nero, a truly exceptional restaurant and pizzeria. It is located not far from the city center and can be reached easily on foot because it is about a couple of km away on foot.
The restaurant has an outdoor room which in winter is protected by a glass structure and a fairly large internal room. The tables are neat and well furnished, in a very quiet and pleasant atmosphere.
We ordered a portion of caciocavallo cooked on the coals, bruschetta with a spicy sauce and chopped almonds and a portion of fried potatoes, prepared by hand.
The restaurant prepares excellent first courses of both sea and land, the smell of cooked seafood and prawns was intense. However, we ordered the pizzas, among the best in the city, baked in a wood oven.
The dough is really soft and the condiments are first choice. The scent and the flavors are unique, demonstrating the freshness of the products. The waiters were very kind and always served us carefully throughout the evening
