My Shift Payment Experience

Hello everyone. This is my very first post here at Steemit and I have decided to share my experience with the Shift Payment card for cryptocurrency. Someone probably has already talked about this card before but since it's my first post I wanted to share a positive and notion-changing experience.

So, I signed up for the Shift Payment card and had it linked to my Coinbase account. It seems like a really useful card to have in my physical wallet in case of an emergency where I wouldn't have access to fiat currency or my bank account.

For those who don't know, Shift Payment cards allows you to spend your Bitcoins wherever Visa is accepted.

When I got my card in the mail I was thrilled to see if I'd work, I called the number on the back to activate it and took it to a test buy. I chose the closest coffee shop near my house, which happened to be a Starbucks. There I bought an Ice Coffee with half sweetener and cream, and a croissant. It cost me a few bucks. I was able to see on my Shift Payment app and on my Coinbase app that the transaction had gone through and my account was debited the equivalent amount of USD in Bitcoin.

Now, this is where it changed my notion on money spending. The next day, Bitcoin was booming, and I only had about $100 worth of BTC on my Coinbase account that I put there to test the Shift Payment Card. After my transaction I had about $93-$94 bucks, the next day with BTC booming my account balance was over $110. That was the moment the stars aligned for me. I could spend money while having my money appreciate at the same time and at a faster rate than I could spend it?!? I would like to see a regular bank's checking account do that.

If only EVERYONE in the WORLD would know about the amazing power of storing money on BTC and other cryptos, then we would see a enormous amount of money flooding into the crypto world way faster than is today. We just need a user friendly platform to reel in the masses towards this revolution.

Cryptocurrency will be the heart and blood of these disruptions. The work the crypto community is doing today will one day power the brains of machines and much more. The future is bright and filled with wonderful possibilities.
