Hey there, fellow comrades, it's been some days I talked about The Mvog-Betsi Zoo Botanical Garden and how beautiful this place is in this post. Now it's the time to have a look at some species found inside this zoo. I hope you will enjoy and like it

When I had the opportunity to visit this Mvog-Betsi Zoo Botanical Garden, I discovered it is a place where so many visitors from different continents visit because of a variety of different types of African animals that exists inside this zoo. I will be sharing my experience and some history facts about this different animals below

African Lion 🦁

This is a very strong animal and it's considered as king of the Jungle because of how powerful it is. It's life span on earth is considered to for up to 29 years. It is considered a scavenger animal which hunts and eat other animals. Do you know that lions are the most social animals that belongs to the cat family and lives in group which is called "prides"?. Do you also know that only female lions hunts while it's the male Lions that eat first?. Do you know as well that lions are sexually matured as from 3 years.

Hyena

This Hyena animals can be found in the savannas of the sub-saharan Africa and they can live for up to 30 years on earth. Hyenas are scavengers in nature and hunt for thier food before eating and they mostly carry out hunting but at night. Do you know that Hyenas lived but in groups which is always led by a dominant female?

Forest Cobra 🐍

This Cobra animal can be found in low land forest, humid savannas and can rarely be found within dry land climates. It can live for up to 35 years on earth and they feed on smaller mammals and insects but they are often fed with mostly rats and lab chicks in the zoo. Do you know that Cobra snake has a length of up to 3.1m long and the largest specie of the genus naja from the Elapidae family? It is mostly active at night or in the dark. This snake has a very poisonous venom

Crocodile 🐊

This specie lives in the water though can also survive in the land for a certain duration of time of time and has legs that can walk on land. It's powerful tail enables it to be able to swim on water with eased. This specie can live for up to 80 years on earth. Since it lives it's majority life in water, mating also occur in the water. It's reproductive age is as from 7 years and above. It survive in water by eating small fishes and other smaller animals. Do you know that this animal usually swallow stones In it's stomach so that it can help in digestion and also helps to establish and balance it's body under water?

African Grey Parrots

African Parrots are very special species of birds that can live for up to 65 years. They always communicates amongs themselves because they have very smart tongue and high pitched and they always group themselves during flight and are considering one of the most Intelligent animals/birds

Eagle

Eagles are also a specie of birds that can live for up to 20 years on earth and they always travel during flight in groups of up to 38. They always travel in search of food and can fly in the air for a maximum speed of 80km/hr. It feeds on rats, small fishes and insects

Iroko Tree

This is a very special tree found in the Moraceas family and can be located mostly in the sub-saharan Africa mostly in countries like Cameroon, Nigeria, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, central Africa republic, Kenya, Angola, Benin and a few other countries. This specie is extremely very important to the African society most especially in the construction of furnitures. It is also sold worldwide because of its important which is considered as "blood wood"

Wenge Or Legume Tree 🌴

This is a very special tree found in the Fabacease family and can mostly be located only in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, CR Congo, DR Congo and Gabon. This tree is highly distinctive and darked colored and it is highly valued in worldwide because of its importance in the furniture market. Did you know that this special wood is usually used in making musical instruments, bows, suit cases and other important things? It is also use in the construction of floors, doors, etc...

My day at the zoo was indeed a remarkable one and won't live to forget this day because of the experience I had most especially in knowing some historical facts about certain animal species in the zoo.
