YOUTHS AND SOCIAL INSTABILITY
Among countries of the world, Nigeria is one of the countries endowed with both natural and human resources, these resources are evenly distributed to different geographical zones of the country, each zone depends on another for their needs and wants.
Also, there are a lot of differences in culture and languages of the people that the easiest way to communicate with someone is using the Lingua Franca(English). It is also seen that there are lots of ethnic groups and religion which brings about diversity in culture.
Amidst all this blessings and good favour received from another nature, the problems faced by our youths is so enormous that it tends to erode the labour of our past heroes.
In our contemporary society, the problems faced by our youths are caused by any he crises and conflicts exacerbated by the politics of impunity and anti-democratic parties which affects the youth academically, morally and socially. It is noted that with all the crises the ruling elite use the he insatiable youths to carry out their nefarious activities such as embezzling of public funds etc.
Further more, the situation caused by our educational sector has left graduate unemployed, the phenomenon in which graduates are left out of their job because of corruption brings about youth instability.
Also, the problem of examination malpractice is eating up our future generation, as students in secondary and tertiary institution no longer study but prefer the contrary.
Nevertheless, it is often said that the youths are the leaders of tomorrow, but the reverse has been long he case, as our present youths has been neglected by our government. It can be seen that with the high rate of graduates produced by our tertiary institution, few are chanced to be employed, as other roam about the same road causing one havoc or another.
Be it as it maybe youth instability can be associated to lack of discipline, lopsided developments, infrastructural decay in education and health institution, economic marginalization etc.
In curbing this problem, the Government should provide infrastructural facilities, access to education and health services. Also political leaders should run a more transparent and result oriented government that meets the needs of the society.
