Good evening all friends, meet me again @chairulrizalx and this time I will take a Graphic Design Class in the Steem Skillshare Community mentored by @atim1234. In this first class, I will learn about the Basics of Graphic Design and the Introduction of Corel Draw software, this time the task is tutored by @printskill. Hopefully, this lesson will be useful for all of us in this community.

1). How you define Graphics Design ?

Graphic design is a very broad field of art and has artistic elements in it as a medium to convey messages and is also often used as an expression of the artist's expression, graphic design has different characteristics for each person and each individual has their uniqueness. Graphic design was originally applied to static media, such as books, magazines, comics, posters and brochures. Along with the development of modern times, graphic design is also applied in electronic media, social media and other technologies often referred to as interactive design or multimedia design. Dimensional boundaries have also changed with the development of thinking about design.

^source Graphic design can be applied to a design environment that includes space processing. Elements in graphic design are the same as basic elements in other design disciplines. These elements include shape, form, texture, line, space, and colour which form the basic principles of visual design such as balance, rhythm, proportion and unity, then form a broader structural aspect of the composition. In conveying the message. Some of the characters of a graphic designer that we must have are:

• Designs that are easy to understand, designs that are easy to understand will get a positive response because the intent conveyed by the designer can be digested and understood by others.
• Design that has a characteristic, each individual has its character in each design, this makes this graphic design unique because each person has a different character in designing.

• Having creative and innovative ideas in designing, graphic design is an art activity that requires us to always think creatively and innovatively to develop design ideas that will become useful skills in the future.
• Confident in the design that is made, every work of art has a relative assessment, sometimes we think that the design work is good but in the eyes of other people, the design work is ugly and not like. Confidence is important for a designer not to feel inferior and afraid if he gets criticism from others.

Graphic design is the freedom of expression of every human being that there is no limit for someone to develop ideas and think creatively to create interesting works of art.

2). What is the importance of Graphic Design in our career and business ?

Graphic Design is one of the skills that must be possessed by individuals who live in this digital era, in my opinion, graphic design is a skill that will have a major impact on the business industry and other fields. Graphic design is a skill that is very useful in supporting the activities of many people in the digital era like today, social media which is filled with visual content in the form of images, videos and others makes work as a graphic designer one of the important skills to master.

^{Examples of graphic design in visual media source} Graphic design can be used as a place to make sales or promotions in this age of social media, companies especially those engaged in clothing, food and services promote their products/services using graphic design media such as brochures or online posters to promote them on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc). In addition, the benefits of graphic design in the business field can be started from company logos, banners, brochures, banners and so on. Useful for conveying the company's vision to the wider community. All areas of life require graphic design benefits of graphic design. you can feel it in real life. The graphic design itself is very closely related to perception, imagery, and also communication. ^source By referring to the company's goals and the intended target market, a graphic designer can easily design a work that has an inviting nature and has aesthetic power in it. We can see this from various promotional media and very creative company documents.

3). What is the best advantage that CorelDraw Sofware has that you liked the most ?

Coreldraw is a vector image-based graphic design software that has a function as a tool for processing digital images such as print media, content creators, animators and other digital visual media. CorelDraw is one of the software that is widely used by industry or business players engaged in the visual and print media.

Given the importance of the power of visual design in promoting a product or business, and to realize the company's desire to create visual designs that will attract the attention of consumers, software like CorelDraw is needed that can do the job and also help designers to realize company goals. The benefits of graphic design in the business field do need to be considered in this era of social media. Because the spearhead of the company is determined by the success of a graphic designer in promoting his company's products/services.

CorelDraw software has been widely used by large companies as a tool to create and represent company goals in a visual form to attract the attention of the wider community. Some examples of graphic designs that can be created using CorelDraw software are:

• Create logo designs.
• Create posters, banners, and other promotional layouts.
• Create visual media for social media.
• Make product packaging and packaging designs.
• Create 2d illustrations and animations.
• Create digital text.

Coreldraw is very suitable for use by beginners who are just honing their graphic design skills because the features and simple user interface can be understood quickly for those who are just learning to use vector-based software. One of the tools from CorelDraw is the pen tool that can be used to draw illustrations and can also be shaped as desired.

This Pen tool is similar to a pen in the real world, the advantage of the pen tool in CorelDraw with the original pen is that if we draw the wrong line or shape it can be easily deleted with just Undo. Meanwhile, if we use the original pen if something goes wrong it will be difficult to erase it. For beginners, you can get used to using the pen tool to make it easier in the future to create objects or illustrations using only a mouse on a PC or laptop.

4). Describe the importance of Graphic Design Class ?

^source In my opinion, this graphic design class organized by the Steem Skillshare Community is very important because it can be a place to help Steemit platform users to learn new skills, especially those who like graphic design, mentored by experts in their fields like @atim1234 @printskill @nigly8 @lhorgic and also we don't have to pay to learn graphic design in this community.
