Dear Steemit friends, since I wrote the post Sufood Vegetarian Restaurant last time, someone asked me to write more posts about restaurants in Taiwan so that he will know where he can bring his wife for dinner.
For the responsibility about the harmony of this couple, I will try my best to introduce more delicious food and restaurants.
Today I will introduce a Sichuan restaurant. The food in Sichuan is famous for its hot and spicy dishes.
You may wondering why I want to show you how to order non-spicy food in Sichuan restaurant.
Actually I really want to order spicy food, but my father doesn't like spicy. If you can't eat too much spicy, maybe it's a good reference when you order Sichuan dishes.
親愛的Steemit朋友們,大家好像對於美食都很有興趣,上次發了舒果新米蘭蔬食,有朋友說要我多發一些美食文章,這樣老婆問要去那裡吃的時候,才不會每次都答不出來。
肩負著維持朋友夫妻和諧的重責大任,Teresa覺得任重而道遠哪!
今天就來帶大家吃一家台灣很有名的Kiki成都川味名菜,有興趣的朋友就跟著我來大飽口眼福吧!
看到標題,會不會有朋友心想,明明是川菜館,偏要吃不辣的,難道是傳說中的台灣本土奧客?
冤枉喔!是因為Teresa爸爸不吃辣,其實我好想點辣的料理呀!
It was My mother's birthday which is the good reason to eat outside with my whole family.
Kiki is a famous restaurant which is a joint venture between Taiwan famous TV and movie stars Pauline Lan, Momoco Tao and Hsu Chi.
There are seven branches of Kiki restaurants. Most of the branches are in Taipei area except one is in Taichung.
這一天是Teresa老母生日,所以全家人又找到藉口滿足口慾。
聽朋友說新板誠品有一家中菜館很好吃,可是搞不清楚是那一家,上網估狗了一下,好像Kiki的評價不錯,據說是藝人藍心湄、陶晶瑩、舒淇合資開的,就決定來試試。
Kiki目前有7家分店,除了台中公益店之外,其他分店都集中在大台北地區。其中誠品松菸店是泰式料理,而不是川味料理,大家不要搞錯了喔~
The one we visited is in the building of Banqiao Eslite Bookstore. There is a underground parking so that you don't have to worry about the parking problem.
The restaurant is at the third floor. The entrance of the restaurant is at the inside the bookstore.
If you like reading very much, you have to resist the big temptation and walk through the big trap to get to the restaurant.
誠品有地下停車場,所以來這邊用餐不用擔心停車的問題,消費可以抵停車優惠。
Kiki在誠品的3樓,要穿越書店才能找到餐廳入口。
我和長毛爸今天提早了一點到,所以先到誠品逛了一圈。
手中拎著蛋糕逛書店實在很麻煩~
所以我們先請Kiki的服務生幫我們冰到冰箱,然後就快樂地逛街去。
走進誠品,很難抗拒不順手拿書起來翻一翻,一翻書就很容易忘了時間。
如果你跟我一樣很容易淪陷在書海中,建議你要先練就目不斜視的功夫,然後低下頭意志堅定地往前衝,這樣才能從誘惑中殺出重圍,順利進到餐廳。
Their LOGO is a cute cat. I guess the inspiration may come from Hayao Miyazaki's cartoon "Kiki's Delivery Service".
Kiki的門口有點神秘,站在門口無法清楚看到餐廳內部,如果不是已經鎖定要來吃,應該不太能吸引經過的客人進來消費。
不過他們的LOGO還蠻可愛的,靈感可能就來自宮崎駿的卡通「魔女宅急便」裡面的黑貓Kiki吧?
這麼可愛的店名和LOGO,感覺上應該是比較西式的餐廳,結果卻是川菜餐廳,還挺衝突的。
The wall looks very Chinese style. It's one of their most popular dish "old skin and tender inside". Don't know what it means? I will keep it secret. You can find out in my post later.
一進去的牆面設計成中國風,老皮嫩肉的照片看起來頗可口,為入口缺乏吸引力扳回一成。
This sofa section is located in a long corridor. You may be arranged to sit here if there are less than four persons in your group.
這一區是沙發區,位置不多,座落於一個狹長的走道,用餐人數不多的話可能會被優先安排在這一區的位子。
如果是我,我會暗自希望不要被安排在這裡,坐在這裡像是被塞在一個不想浪費空間硬規劃出來的位子,有點被驅之別院的感覺。
The square table is for four persons group which is similar to other Chinese restaurant.
這一區是四人座的方形桌,桌椅和裝潢跟一般中菜館沒有太大的區別。
The whole family will be arranged to sit by round table.
The decoration looks careless of design. Don't eat here if you are care about the atmosphere.
全家一起來吃的話,就比較適合坐圓桌區。
這間Kiki的裝潢主要以木紋為主,桌椅和環境都完全沒什麼設計感, 想要吃氣氛的捧油就別考慮這間啦!
There are two separate boxes You can reserve. It's the only place you can see good view in this restaurant.
Kiki有兩間包廂可以預約,從包廂可以看到窗外的景色,是整間餐廳唯一在環境氣氛上稍微對得起它的價位的位子。
Most of the seafood and some materials had run out. So almost half of the dishes were not available which made it more difficult to order.
點菜的時候才想到Teresa爸爸不吃辣,川菜的辣並不是單純的加辣椒,所以必須跟服務生詢問哪些菜色可以做成不辣的。
加上我們去的那天,大部份海鮮、烘蛋等的材料都賣完了,所以有將近一半的菜都無法供應,生意會不會好得太離譜?
這下子我們點菜上難度又更增加了,臨時要轉台又怕找不到適合的餐廳,只好硬著頭皮點菜,吃個飯還真是一波三折哪!
鹹魚雞粒炒飯 $250
It's important to eat rice with Chinese dishes. So we ordered fried rice with salty fish and chicken which is actually Hong Kong style fried rice.
Fried rice seems simple, but in fact with much knowledge.
This fried rice grains is quite standard, clear, not sticky. With a unique aroma of salty fish, mixed with the fragrance of egg and green onion , the taste of fried rice is quiet rich.
吃中菜一定要配飯才有fu,除了白飯之外,炒飯當然也是很好的選擇,不廢話先來一盤再說。
我們點的是鹹魚雞粒炒飯,這應該是港式茶餐廳裡很受歡迎的菜色,沒想到川菜館也可以吃得到。
炒飯看似簡單,其實可是大有學問。這盤鹹魚雞粒炒飯炒得相當有水準,飯粒顆顆分明,不黏不糊軟硬適中。鹹魚帶出了獨有的香氣,混合了蛋和青蔥的香味,讓炒飯的味道層次更豐富。
雞米粑粑 $380
The photo of this dish looked so cute which aroused my desire to order it.
It was spicy for the original cooking which fried chicken granules with Chinese prickly ash, glutinous rice pepper and chili.
They replaced the glutinous rice pepper to peans and water chestnut without chili and Chinese prickly ash.
Kiki的菜單有一部分有照片可以看,看到長相這麼可愛的雞米粑粑,當然忍不住要點一份來看看。人果然是視覺的動物,第一眼的印象顏值肯定勝過一切的。
原本這道菜是以雞肉末加上獨特辣汁去拌炒花椒、糯米椒及辣椒,配著熱騰騰的窩窩頭,嗆辣夠味。
為了做成不辣的版本,把會辣的調味料都去掉,糯米椒換成青豆荸齊等材料,就成了我們桌上這道改良版雞米粑粑。
The steamed corn bread looked like a mini bowl. We stuffed the filling into the steamed corn bread, looked so cute!
The chicken was very tender. It was very delicious although it was not spicy.
Everyone loved this dish although I ordered it for fun.
窩窩頭是半圓中空的,像個迷你的小碗,把香噴噴的餡料放到窩窩頭中央,看起來超級可愛~
雖然少了原本該有的辣味,雞肉炒得又香又嫩,跟荸齊脆脆的口感超級搭,一點都沒有因為少了辣味而遜色。
窩窩頭沒有我擔心的麵粉味,也沒有印象中的硬梆梆,吃起來有點像柔軟的饅頭再多一點咬勁。
因為好玩而點的這道菜,結果每個人都讚譽有加。
老皮嫩肉 $220
It's the NO.1 on their ranking list of popularity. Of course it's a must order dish.
The soft egg tofu was skin fried to be crispy and gold. Without the hot sauce made with chili oil and Chinese prickly ash, the taste of crispy skin and tender tofu was still wonderful.
這道菜是排行榜第一名,被印在入口的牆面上,當然非點不可啦!
軟嫩的蛋豆腐,表皮炸得金黃酥脆,少了原本花椒和辣油調出來的麻辣醬汁,酥脆外皮和嫩豆腐衝突的口感吃起來一樣一級棒!
西檸魚片 $360
It was the only seafood we got at that day. I was so glad I ordered it.
The fish was so tender and smooth. The flour crust was crispy and not too thick.
The sweet and sour flavor was very fresh. I couldn't help to stop eating one by one.
這是今天難得還點得到的海鮮類,其他的海鮮要什麼沒什麼,超悟卒的~
沒想到一放進嘴裡,酸甜清爽的味道美妙得幾乎要升天,不禁慶幸還好有點了這道菜。
魚片外層的裹粉不會太厚,微微的脆度不會過硬,魚肉非常嫩滑,跟外層的微脆口感搭配起來,就算不配白飯當零嘴吃,都讓人忍不住一口接一口停不下來。
腐乳高麗菜 $200
We always order vegetable for health when we eat outside.
The cabbage was fried with salt bean curd which made the cabbage tasted with special aroma.
Teresa全家都注重養生,所以當然要來幾道青菜。
高麗菜炒得很清脆,多了豆腐乳的特殊味道,比起清炒高麗菜多了一點層次,算是一道很安全的菜色。
刀口椒炒水蓮 $190
White water snowflake is an interesting vegetable. It is very delicious with so many different cooking.
The white water snowflake was very juicy and fresh. I guess it would be more interesting if it was spicy.
水蓮是一種有趣的蔬菜,不管用什麼樣的的作法都非常好吃。
這道菜炒得十分爽脆多汁,可惜原本炒刀口椒應該是辣得很過癮的,去掉辣椒雖然還是好吃,可是少了辣味就嫌稍微無聊了一點。
蔥爆牛肉 $330
The beef with onion is a home cooking dish you can order at most of the Chinese restaurants.
It seems simple but hard to well cook. It was a good opportunity to check the cooking skill of the chef.
The beef was very tender and not too salty. I do recommend it although you can find it everywhere.
這道菜太常吃到了,實在是已經無菜可點了才點了這道菜。
不過點這麼基本的菜色剛好可以檢視主廚的功力,功力不夠很容易牛肉過老或口味太鹹。
這道菜算是炒得蠻有水準的,牛肉很嫩,也不會死鹹,還是蠻值得點來吃的。
蟲草花樹菇雞湯 $420
It was cooked with Chinese herbal, Chinese caterpillar fungus and tea tree mushroom.
It tasted sweet and healthy. The chicken was not too dry which is important for a good chicken soup.
Too bad the soup was too small so that everyone could only have one or two spoon.
The plate in Kiki was pretty small. So we ordered two more dishes when we found out the food was not enough.
這道湯可不只是名字好聽,它其實是很養生的一道湯品。
蟲草花可以滋肺補腎、抗氧化、降血壓、提高免疫力。
茶樹菇含有人體必須的8種氨基酸,並且有B群、鈣、鎂、鐵等礦物質,還可以降低膽固醇和抗癌等功用。
用這兩樣食材加上中藥材煲湯,滋味甘甜,雞肉也不會太柴,養身又好喝。
可惜一碗湯大概只有2~3人份,我們每個人只能喝個兩口就沒了。
Kiki的菜量一上桌就少得讓人傻眼,所以我們吃到一半就發現菜的份量不夠,趕緊又加點了下面兩道菜。
Teresa家人大部份都是小鳥胃,居然還會吃不夠,由此可知,Kiki的菜量是企圖冒充懷石料理,以為量少就是精緻~
苦瓜鹹蛋 $220
Bitter gourd can reduce blood sugar and blood lipid. It's good for the health of heart.
They fried the bitter ground not long enough so it tasted a little bit too hard.
They also have luffa with salted egg. Maybe I can try next time.
Kiki這道菜用的是山苦瓜而非一般苦瓜。山苦瓜可以降火抗發炎,還可以降血糖血脂,是很有營養價值的食材。
跟一般苦瓜的口感比起來,山苦瓜比較清脆甘甜。可惜那天這道菜炒得火侯不太夠,山苦瓜吃起來有點過硬。
後來才發現他們還有改良菜色是絲瓜鹹蛋,想像起來應該還不錯,下次來吃吃看。
川薑炒豬肉絲 $290
There are a lot of shredded ginger which make the ginger the main part of the dish.
The pickled pork tasted heavy. When you ate the pork with fresh ginger, the spicy taste of ginger made the pork not greasy.
The more I ate the more the ginger was full of fragrancy. It really surprised me.
這道菜點的時候沒有抱太大的期望,沒想到吃起來完全跟我想像的不一樣,有讓我驚艷的感覺。
它的薑絲放得很豪邁,薑絲扮演的角色不再是擔任辛香料的配角,而是主菜的一部分。
豬肉絲口味醃得比較重,可是跟鮮嫩的薑絲配在一起吃,相當解膩。薑絲的嗆辣剛吃時不太習慣,可是越吃越香。
喜歡薑味的捧油,可以點這道試試看,味道挺特別的。
The price was a little bit expensive. Although it was delicious, but the decoration of the restaurant looked so cheap.
I will consider to eat next time because I really want to try their spicy dishes and their famous plum juice.
我們8個人總共吃了3千出頭,平均一個人大約花費$400,食量比較大的捧油們大概就要花$500上下囉~
以這個價位,Kiki的裝潢相對比起來實在有夠寒酸的,會賺錢的生意人果然很懂得精打細算。
不過以菜色的水準來說,完全對得起一人$400~$500的價位。下次我要再來試試正宗川菜的麻辣口味,搭配他們有名的酸梅汁解辣,我相信會吃得更過癮。

The service of Banqiao Eslite Bookstore branch was good. They was pretty patient when we asked to order non-spicy food.
But the waiter and waitress were not enough for so many clients. Sometimes you had to wait for a while when you needed services.
I will recommend you to eat there with more persons so that you can eat more dishes at one time.
誠品板南店的服務態度還不錯,對於我們很任性的要求調整成不辣的菜色,都很有耐性的解說和建議。
只不過服務生的人數和客人的人數似乎不成比例,服務生一直都在忙,常會找不到人服務。(又是懂得算計的老闆的問題?)
整體來說,很推薦全家一起去打牙祭,多一點人去可以吃到比較多的菜色喔~

Remember it's my mom's birthday?
The birthday cake was from 85 degrees C.
The lemon cake was with cookie crust so that it tasted soft and crispy.
The fragrance of lemon was heavy. It tasted not too sweet with a little sour, very delicious.
I have brought birthday cakes at 85 degrees C many times. Although their cakes are not expensive, every different kind of cakes I brought is very delicious. The never disappoint me.
If you don't insist of expensive famous brand cake. Try 85 degrees C, you will love it.

今天的蛋糕是85度C的檸檬蛋糕,超~~級~~好吃~~
這款蛋糕跟一般蛋糕有一點不一樣,沒有一般蛋糕體那麼空氣感,裡面還夾雜了餅乾碎片,所以咬起來是鬆軟中帶著酥脆。
檸檬的香氣非常重,吃起來酸甜爽口,一點也不甜膩。我們全家不管愛不愛吃甜食的都吃了1~2大塊,第一次一口氣就把整塊蛋糕嗑光光。
85度C的蛋糕是我覺得CP值相當高的蛋糕,非常便宜,但是美味度一點也沒有馬虎。買了好幾次不同的口味,每一次都沒有讓我失望。
不執著於知名蛋糕的捧油,一定要試試85度C的蛋糕。

哈哈!我只能確認這是川菜館。因為點的都是不辣的菜,我相信很多有名的川菜都沒有點到。其實很多我點的都不是川菜啦!畢竟是台灣的餐廳嘛!還是會有些台灣人習慣吃的菜。
OMG thats a lot of food!! Every single one of those dishes looked really really good. But, are these Chinese or Tawainese? Or a mix of both. I'm living in VN and would love ot find a resaurant that has some of these dishes. Should be easy to track down with your excellent and descriptive breakdown! Thank you!
It's Sichuan restaurant. Sichuan is in mainland China. But some of the dishes are actually from other place. Such as the bitter gourd with salted egg is Taiwan food.
ok gotcha. I thought I read the restaurant was in Taiwan. My mistake. Great palce either way. the food looked fantastic. every dish that is!

hehe. So its a place in Taiwan that sells some Schezuan Chinese food right? I hope so, because I will be in Taiwan in 2 weeks and I want to visit this place for sure.
