Extrusion
Sometimes I use the "extrude" PhotoShop effect to generate interesting "coming out at you" perspectives from my mirror mandalas.
The 2nd image is a symetrical "mandala" (not really a mandala but that is what I call my circular mirror creations) that I used as a base:
The 3rd through 5th images are different applications of the PhotoShop extrude effect to that base. The last extrude version I used to create the rest of the images:
I think this gives a cool alien space ship architecture result when I start mirroring the mutated extrusion (see post cover image). Per usual with my creations I go through so many different iterations and steps along the way that giving a true "blow by blow" account of everything I did would be really hard, but hopefully you can get the picture of the process through these images.
The very original base image photography is the last image in the post, a section of tree trunk partially burned in a forest fire.
