STEEM will undoubtedly become the next world currency because of it's financial instrumentation. Its currency system contains [ 3-tiers / instrumentations ]:

1. STEEM Dollars [ SBD ]
   1. Loosely pegged [ +/- 20% ] to the dollar to offer financial stability, insured by @Steemit. This is the asset of STEEM reinforced with a consistent earnings of 10% interest.
2. STEEM 
   1. Considered the equity of the system. Beware! It's also the least desireable to hold long term due to its extreme dilution. However, it's perfect during price surges as it will reap the biggest immediate gains.
3. STEEM Power 
   1. The financial instrument that secures STEEM into a hard asset which collects extreme interest. It also grants the majority of influence within the platforms that utilized the STEEM currency. Content earnings [STEEM / SBD combo ] are heavily influenced by the STEEM Power holdings of the [ liker / upvoter ].

Transition & Scalability

The amount of time it takes to start immersing yourself into the STEEM-#economy depends on how quickly one can create a profile & upvote a post. This low barrier to entry is leagues ahead of the other crypto currencies! The new #blockchain industry currently maintains a weak infrastructure that will inherently confuse the majority of new adopters upon their first encounter.

STEEM really shines in this realm. The first platform on the STEEM network is identical to Reddit, which is familiar to over 240 million users every month. The transition is steemless.

Simplifying the transition of users to STEEM-backed platforms can (and will) be a standard template. Many (if not all) widely used social networks & marketplaces [ Facebook / YouTube / Instagram / Spotify / Pandora / Amazon / eBay / Wikipedia / etc. ] will be replicated on the STEEM network in the years to come. All of STEEM's combined financial instruments within one (1) currency place STEEM [ out of the box / ahead of the pack ]. Soon, I'm afraid there will very likely be copycats of STEEM diluting the market the same way Bitcoin has been shamelessly replicated. Luckily, STEEM looks to have a strong critical mass. The system is gaining ste[e/a]m so quickly that it seems likely to be first in reaching massive market adoption.

Branding is everything! So if the world knows STEEM and adopts its use, other copycats will have a hard time crawling their way into the market. Remember, STEEM is less than 6 months old & already reached a euphoric $350+ Million in valuation. This is unheard of! Even in the techy #blockchain industry.

The world is a big place, and the total market value of the crypto currency industry as yet to exceed $15 Billion (except during Bitcoin's exponential rise above $1,000/BTC). However, this industry has seen a compounding ROI of 135% over the past 3 years. A simple chart analysis suggests this industry is completing a 'cup & handle' formation that may skyrocket the entire industry into a new valuation tier. 

The End to the Bitcoin Monarchy

Charts suggest that Bitcoin is steadily decreasing its dominance in the crypto currency market. This is to be expected since new technologies claim different niches & dilute total valuation in the industry. As the #blockchain ecosystem grows, Bitcoin's valuation will thrive off diversity. For if Bitcoin remains the only crypto currency to maintain dominance in the market, it becomes increasingly vulnerable to declining interest. New blockchains provide new niches into the marketplace. This is essential to provide additional market share to the industry, which in turn secures the common trust & enhances the publicly understood knowledge needed for long term security.

The question many ask, "what is the next crypto currency that will compete on the same tier as Bitcoin?" The answer [ I'd like to think ] we all know, "STEEM's 3-Tier currency for wealth storage [ STEEM Power vs. bitcoin / Ethereum / Litecoin / Monero ], attention economics [ STEEM vs. Synereo ], and daily transactions [ SBD vs. DASH / Syscoin ]."
