	"Florida Gov. DeSantis to drop medical marijuana smoking ban" (Miami Herald) Medical cannabis is only available in pill form in Florida. New Governor is changing the law to allow medical cannabis to be purchased and used in the smoke-able bud form. The dosage amount is easier to fine tune, and the effects are felt quicker.
"Many users prefer medical marijuana over prescription drugs" (University of Michigan) A new cannabis use study from the University of Michigan shows that of those surveyed, 70% were using medical cannabis to treat a condition, 42% quit using a pharmaceutical drug due to the use of cannabis, 30% said their doctor didn't know about their use.
	"Cannabis advocates sue state to deschedule marijuana" (MLive) Cannabis is still scheduled as a Class 1 drug (no medical use) in Michigan - despite the state licensing medical cannabis dispensaries. Michigan has even setup a plan to ensure medical cannabis users can still get cannabis during a state of emergency. These cannabis advocates believe Michigan state should deschedule cannabis from it's Class 1 drug status.
"Barr: I wouldn't go after marijuana companies" (AP Archive) New USA federal attorney general says that he wouldn't go after cannabis companies in states that have legalized - in accordance with the previous Cole Memorandum understanding. Companies had invested money based on that understanding, the new AG doesn't wan't to upset that capital investment trust. Cannabis is still federally illegal for medical or recreational use. CBD oil and hemp production were, however, recently legalized federally with the 2018 USA farm bill.
	"Cannabis Producers From Canada Looking To Enter US CBD Market" (Wochit News) USA federal 2018 farm bill recently legalized CBD oil and hemp production. Canadian companies Aurora Cannabis and Canopy Grow are looking to enter the USA hemp and CBD oil market - millennial investors have been excited.
"Evers on Medical Marijuana" (WFRV Local 5) Wisconsin governor would like to see medical cannabis legalized, then eventually recreational cannabis with a referendum for the people to vote on. He will be putting forward his proposal next month.
	"Iowa mayor, husband charged after marijuana found in basement" (KCCI) Mayor's house was raided to locate a wanted person, but 18 cannabis plants found in the basement. Authorities believe each plant could have produced up to 3 lbs. The state of Iowa, the city of Jamaica. Legalize it.
"CBS Smokes Plans for Marijuana Ad During Super Bowl, Cannabis Co Responds | TMZ" (TMZ) Cannabis Co wanted to play a service announcement commercial during the super bowl to highlight how it has improved the quality of life for a veteran suffering from PTSD, a child with epilepsy, and a person that was addicted to opiates. The child's seizures had gone from 70 a day to 1 a month.
"How Drug Companies Pushed Opioids On America | TIME Ideas | TIME" (TIME) 85% of the world's opioids are consumed by the USA - which holds only 5% of the world's population. FDA easily approved these drugs with little outside studies about the addictive nature. People would take larger and larger doses to treat what they thought was their ailment, but was actually to treat their increasing withdraw symptoms as well. Sales force from pharma went out with junk science to doctors to help push the drugs - largely onto marginalized communities.
