Beer Tasting - India Pale Ale (IPA) ('Farmhouse Red IPA' by Blackjack Beers Brewery)

Automated voting is currently down. It has lasted for about a day now and we will have to make due without it for a few more days. I’m sorry if some of my votes didn’t go through. There are just too many to do it manually. Everything will return to order soon, don’t worry.

Some of you might have used @steemvoter and steemvoter.com . I fully trust the team behind it and I believe this will serve only to improve the existing service.

If you feel you should get my vote, do contact me over at Discord. I vote for so many that I can’t keep track. Here’s my voting pattern. I try to spread the love as much as I can and rarely, if ever do I vote myself. Mostly if I want to bump up my comment or some such trick.

Check out these coins over at Binance. I think they will have a bright future in the first part of 2018 at least.

Today I decided to treat myself with lunch at one of my favourite pubs. Fakin Craft, here I come. I like the vibe, feels like a beer cellar. Smells like it too. Freshly brewed beer and daily food. It’s decent quality and not overpriced. However, they don’t have a veggie deal so I went with veggie pizza. Not bad, but I had better.

All in all, the beer is why we come here, no? I found another undiscovered gem. England this time.

TasteA lot of hops in the taste. Medium to high bitter with a decent amount of sweetness. Also a bit grapey.

Beer and Pizza... On some days I think I should stop reading your Blog as you´re really just making me jealous... But then I always click back in :D

Looks great!
Have never heard of that beer but would be happy to have one - good English beer!,

Cheers 🍺

I'm going to make a random comment. What is the origin/meaning of 'Fakin'. Is that someone's name? A region/location? A local term? Just wondering, since I see that pub in so many of your posts :)

Oh yeah, well we do have a few. But Craft Room and Fakin are my fav spots. Fakin in local vernacular means something like a tough guy or troublemaker :) Kind of makes sense for a bar

What makes a beer to be considered a "red”? 🤔

I'm no expert and don't brew, but i believe they usually have toasted malts, giving the amber - red colour. Generally a more malt forward beer, but not using roasted malts to the extent a stout or porter would. Don't take that as gospel, but that's my understanding and I hope it helps!

Just the author's creativity :) probably

That pizza looks good and like ve the shot with the funky edit

I was wondering what happened. I don't think I've ever commented on one of your posts and NOT received an upvote from somewhere. That's ok though. I still enjoy your beer reviews - upvote or not.

Oh, I think it should be any time now. That's what they say. Thanks for stopping by ;)

Icon, Wabi, and Binance have all been getting a lot of "social traffic" of people on social platforms talking about them. I think I need to get some so I don't miss the rocket.

Nice review! Sounds great!
So what's the beer you would recommend for the dead of winter after a gloomy day?

Anything imperial, a stout, IPA or porter, whatever your preference ;)

Thanks! Tonight I'm actually going for a 'Sweet Baby Jesus!' Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter... it's delicious! (DuClaw Brewing Co.)

Love a good IPA. My driving ability doesn't after one or two though... :D

good post dear
