The clock stopped. The atmosphere of the 3 x 4 meter diameter room suddenly became cold. The house lizard some time ago catching mosquitoes on the wall also vanished. The breeze blew in the ears.

"Aaaaa .... Aaaaa ...." my oldest child's crying broken the silence. We woke up.

Usually, my child crying because ask for milk. I hurried to get the milk bottle. I take a milk powder and put in the bottle, slowly. Then, I add a little hot water and cold water.

Milk is ready. I gave it to my son. Still, he was still crying. This time, my young daughter follow was hysterical. Both of my children don't want to be quiet. We panicked. What's wrong?

The house is inside the Mahogany plantation. At the corner of the fence, some old coconut trees grow. We spent the holidays in this house.

Actually, I've tried renting lodging downtown. However, the holiday period has made a number of lodging full. We were forced to rent this house a distance from the city about 2 kilometers.

The house we rent this is so far from residential area. In addition to flanked Mahogany plantations, between settlements with gardens are also separated by the village road. While behind the house are the coral hills. On the south side, after the Mahogany plantation, is the Strait of Malacca. To the north of the is highway connecting to the city.

This house was built permanently. European-style buildings typical of the colonial era. The house has several rooms, such as living room, kitchen and two bedrooms.

The house also has a veranda with two rattan chairs arranged on the terrace. While in the back there is a small garden, that thrives green creeping plants, with a small pond in the middle.

The park is about 2x4 meters which is covered with concrete walls. Above it was given a trellis, possibly to keep outsiders from entering the garden. There was no door leading out of the house, besides the front door.

The unique thing of this house that we rent for a week is the kitchen room location. For home residents generally, the position of the kitchen is usually in the back or the very end of a house. However, not for this house. In this house, the kitchen is in the middle. Flanked by living room and bed room.

I'm willing to rent this house because it's relatively cheap compared to existing lodging in the city. Especially the existing lodging is full of all. "Here we will stay for the next week," I told my wife.

At first my wife refused. But after knowing the reason I rented this house, she agreed.

This is our first holiday after having two children. I deliberately took the family for a vacation after pulling a number of SBD and Steem in steemit. My wife was very happy. She's been looking forward to a holiday like this. Especially all this time he just spent time at home, take care of our children. She looks very bored. I who know this, has long planning a family holiday. However, only this time I managed to invite them after harvesting money in steemit.

"Thank you, my dear," said my wife, as we were about to unwind at the inn.[] to be continued...

This story is just fiction. The similarity of names, places, institutions and stories is a mere coincidence. This is the first fiction I'm writing and immediately publish it in steemit. I hope the criticism and suggestions related to the storyline and editing of writing in this fiction, to be better in the next section. (Author: Boy Nashruddin/@boynashruddin)
