Night view of the Palace Bridge (St. Petersburg, Russia)

The Palace Bridge. A classic view of the bridge and the Peter and Paul Fortress behind him.

This bridge is located in the historical center of St. Petersburg (Russia). It connects the Main part of the city with Vasilievsky Island.

At night, the doors of the bridge are raised for the passage of ships traveling along the Neva River. This place was always liked by tourists and townspeople. In the summer they come here to take a walk here and admire this beautiful view.

At present, the beauty of the bridge is emphasized by the multicolored backlighting and beautiful music that plays during the lifting of the wings.

If you suddenly go to St. Petersburg, you should definitely visit this place. I'm sure you will get great emotions.

Near the bridge there are mobile cafes and you can always drink hot coffee if you suddenly become cold. And hospitable townspeople always tell you the time of the divorce of the bridge or the way to the metro.

During the white nights (June), when in the darkest hour in the street only dusk, the sunset over the Peter and Paul Fortress looks just amazing.

So last year I visited in St. Petersburg and I visited this place.

In the absence of a tripod, I was worried that I would not be able to make a good photo. But using the granite parapet of the embankment, I still managed to make a frame with a long exposure. Thanks to this, even the people in the foreground who walked along the pier can not be seen in the photo.

I recommend to open the photo in a separate tab to appreciate it.
