In the first two weeks of March, Ripple sold a total of 240 million XRP tokens, valued at over $157 million.

This coincided with a drop in XRP's market value, leading some to believe these sales contributed to the price decline.

Ripple also only released 500 million XRP from its escrow this month, instead of the anticipated 1 billion. However, they replenished the escrow with 800 million tokens, as is customary.
