First blockchain securities exchange to launch in Mauritius
Mindex, GMEX Group, and Hybrid Stock Exchange Corporation Limited (HYBSE) have partnered to launch the first blockchain security exchange in Mauritius. The collaboration will see these firms integrate blockchain solutions and technology with traditional financial sectors that provide a complete and governed ecosystem to digitize assets onto the blockchain. The exchange would facilitate the trade of cryptonised shares, cryptonised currencies, commodities, indices, forex ETCs, ETFs, and CETFs. The organizations also said SMEs would be able to use the exchange for initial blockshare offering (IBOs). The companies chose Mauritius because its financial regulator is set to create a regulated environment for the exchange and crypto custody.
