Quick work trip to Stockholm!

Well... today is a weird day, travelling early (but thankfully not too early... ) to the airport to get up to Stockholm in Sweden for an afternoon concert tomorrow. It's a bit of a whirlwind project, flying up today to rehearse and then concert tomorrow before flying back immediately in the evening. So, in the end, I away for a less than two whole days... which means that I only get tonight as my good night's sleep (no kids to wake me up in the middle of the night!). I might even treat myself to a restaurant after this evening's rehearsal to get some stuff to write for @tasteem!

The hotel lobby is pretty weird, with this screen immediately greeting you as you enter. It's just a cinmetatic feed, but it really looks like they've installed cameras in each room and are feeding it live to the lobby! Actually, maybe I should take a closer look to see if that isn't the case....

The room itself is pretty retro... it really feels like it is from a movie set or something like that...wait a minute... combined with the last photo.... hmmmm...

On some jobs, it is complete luxury! The concert hall is actually right across the square from the hotel! Which means that I can just roll out of bed and onto the stage... almost literally, although, that might be a bit messy for the concert clothes!

Actually, after the first rehearsal... it's a really nice hall! I'm looking forward to the concert, apparently it is sold out, which is always good news. It's not always the case for Classical Music concerts. Now to do some Googling to try and find somewhere really nice to eat tonight! I wonder what is typically Swedish? I've never been to Sweden before, Finland and Norway... but somehow, I've always missed this place! It does seem pretty nice though!

I really hope I get some time later to also walk around and take some evening photos of the city!
