There’s One Minute Left ..

There is one minute left until seven-thirty am, and the second hand is sitting on the two. Life is running this way and that while a white scratchy tissue sits in my left hand. I hear the door open and a weird noise settles through the air to my ears. It sounds like keys jingling and then they drop. From the time I started this, I see the hands of the clock smile sideways grins at me. In time, haha, they will frown at the memories of this morning. Coffee in the air and on the floor of the hallway with specks of dirt and filth. Dust has made its way to the corners and rests there for an eternity or two. Motionless doors remain shut and prying eyes too. They only cry and weep, longing for the tissue in my left hand. It’s now crumpled into a ball of frustration. Pry it from my hand and you can have it. It is not used but is of no use to me. I let it go and it drops to the cool tiled floor, where it is swiftly kicked and nudged to the corner. There it takes company with the dust from eternity. Damp eyes dry and focused. They all scramble for the tissue and in the process of fighting for it, the dust is dispersed into the air. Some of the dust settles on the second hand of the clock, now sitting one minute before seven forty-five. click

The Above Paragraph ..

Is a free write. Sometimes I find these things useful is waking up my mind. I had my first cup of coffee and I am clicking through emails. My brain is not focused yet, so I need a little activity or two to help jump start my creative and productive state of mind. A little timed free writing helps almost every time. Soooo… The above is my five minute timed free write session. Yup, It’s a little thin and short for five minutes, but I had a few visitors in my office first thing this morning. I tried to type through it. :-/ hehe.
