Pepper Loves His Beds ..

All 16 of them. But he hast to share them with his sister Molly. Only one of the beds he can truly call his, the one with his name on it. The Pepper bed! He was given this bed by one of our close friends. They also have dogs, two Jack Russell‘s, one of which we got them for their wedding as a gift. I know, crazy, but they wanted a dog and they knew what kind of dog they wanted so it was kind of an easy decision. Anyhow, they got this bad for him when we first adopted pepper. I believe they got the bed from L.L. Bean. Don’t quote me on that but I’m pretty sure that’s where they got it. We keep it in our master bathroom. When we’re getting ready in the morning or the evening you most likely can find pepper lying in this bed. It’s a little bit different than others because it’s sort of denim like and rectangular pillow shaped. The other beds we have are sort of oval or round and made of who knows what polyester probably. We have two or three wool beds but we had to put those away because Molly is allergic to wool. She takes allergy medication but no allergy medication contains a protein for wool. It doesn’t exist, At least to my knowledge.

Every Christmas I have to round up the beds and put them in our bedroom out-of-the-way so we have room for our yearly open house Christmas party. We typically have 30 to 40 people in the house at one time. That leaves no room for dog beds. I keep one or two behind the couch just in case the dogs get tired and want to lie down. Other than that one night, the beds are out everywhere all the time. Occasionally, every couple of months, we wash them and dry them which is a pain in the #%? Haha. Christmas is coming very soon, and I wonder if the dogs are getting nervous knowing that the beds will be picked up and put in a pile? Yeah I don’t think so.

Tonight The bed is my legs ..

I’m home alone with no wife, I Saul Rocky IV is on and I can’t help myself… My guilty pleasure! Pepper and I are watching Rocky IV, well I’m watching and he sleeping. Well, I’m drinking scotch, writing this blog post, listening and half watching the movie while Pepper sleeps on my lap. I wouldn’t want it any other way. He’s a good boy! I have to pee, but he’s too cute to move. TMI? Hahaha. Sorry.
