'Glorious First Cup' Deep Dreaming .. Need Coffee & Want Fog to Disappear!
I Am Procrastinating My Morning Away ..
Waiting on 10:00 o'clock to come. Molly and Pepper are heading to the groomers today and I'll be dropping them off in about an hour or so. Shhhh.. They don't know yet ;-P It's been foggy all morning and doesn't even appear that the sun is trying to break through. Come on sun! I need you!! Oh well, doubt she heard my cries. So the dogs are back in bed with their mommy and I am up just puttering around wondering what to blog about. I am also supposed to be paying bills this morning, but really who likes to see all their money instantaneously vanish from their checking account?? No One! So I will get to it tomorrow.
I Had A Cup Of Coffee ..
But what's just one more?? I know I have some coffee fans out there somewhere.. We need to bond together and take over the world one cup at a time! Okay, so that's a little rash and over eager, but this fog has me feeling like I need more than one cup of 'pick me up' .. THAT got me thinking.. I haven't Deep Dreamed anything in a while and its about time for one today! So I chose a painting of mine that just happens to be about COFFEE and went with it.
The Painting Is Called 'Glorious First Cup' ..
It's an oil painting painted on canvas. 12 inches by 12 inches square. I love coffee, so one day I decided to randomly paint a cup. Not my best work, but it was fun to paint none the less. I used my fingers as painting tools throughout the process of painting it. I wish I had some progress photos to show you, but this was painted long before I cared about such things. Let keep focused though.. It's the coffee that matters! It's the STAR of today's show!! It is in fact.. 'The GLORIOUS First Cup' .. which is gone, I drank it already .. hehe.
Here is what I created from it today.. but how did it end up here?
I Deep Dreamed It ..
First I combined my original painting with the image to the right..
This was the image that was rendered ..
Not too bad.. but a bit blah, which is what I am feeling and need to change. So I choose another image that stands out to me. One of those pillows that you brush your hand across to change the pattern of flat sequence. So again, the image on the right was combined with the one on the left ..
This Image was the one I came up with. Not very colorful, but I am accepting that its gloomy out, my mood is reflected in that, and why not embrace the art found in monochromatic tones. I will embrace this and love it! I really do like it..
That's All He Wrote ..
Well off to get that next cup of coffee and take the dogs for haircuts! That should be fun for them..haha. Why not add a nice short poem here to keep with the coffee/fog theme of the morning (click on the source link below for more amazing poems) ..
Morning Fog ~ by DeeDee Cooper
If only I could just clearly see
Without my morning cup of coffee
The morning fog around me fade
Lingering on my road unpaved
I stretch, I yawn, step on the floor
Get ready for work head for the door.
My morning though is not complete
Until I stand up on my feet
Go to the counter where overnight
My pot was set to brew just right
Now finished the aroma fills the air
Oops I forgot to comb my hair
So many things my coffee means to me
It is what sets my mind at ease
That morning fog now will fade away
With my cup of coffee to start my day.

About Me ~ The Artist
My art work incorporates a wide variety of subject matter, including landscape, seascape, cityscape, and still life images. My works are the product of a continuing process of exploration through which I seek to portray personal and visionary interpretations of my surroundings. My paintings are impressions of places and events from everyday life, an interpretation of my imagination, and personal responses to what I see and feel on a daily basis. More recently I have invested generous amounts of time into my landscape painting. I am surrounded by natural and man made beauty, which inherently presents itself in the tri-state area, and almost demands that I paint it.
Not everything is art. Art is not everything, but it comes close. Art is everywhere and all the time. Art makes you experience the beauty of the world, the people in it, and the places we call home. Art itself is so influential that it can tell stories, show feelings, and express passion or fury. Art exists in addition to language; expression of sensations and thoughts, revealing a way of thinking too subtle and delicate for words.
For me art requires love, honesty and perseverance. In return, it reveals some personal, non-analyzable, and creative untamed passion. For the public, art with its magnificent beauty, improves mood and health and builds better human beings and communities. It engages the intellect, softens the heart, strengthens the soul and frees the spirit.

That fog is scary. I almost could't find Molly in the picture. Had to get real close to the screen and I have a 25" monitor.
MAN YOU WENT BACK IN THE BLOG POSTS A BIT! HAHAhaha.. you found her 25 days back.. But now I notice since I have been posting in communities, most of my post do not show up on my (under the heading) "blog". I have to go to "all posts" to see them. Weird. Probably what you are seeing. It looks like I haven't posted in a while, but I have.. grrrr. Oh well.. I just added them in with the add to blog feature in Steempeak.
And during these type of days, I'm usually hustling to get my crocs on and coat so I can go out with her. She was just moving too quickly. I'm always afraid of the Eagles that kind of linger by the lake on days like that. For a 6 pound dog, she can book it.
25" Laptop? Gaming Laptop? nice. I bought a 27" monitor for my 17" laptop (non-gaming) I love it but still find myself right up to it, like 10 inches from the screen. haha.
i realized it after i tried to vote for it that it was old. The changes that have been made recently have been catching me off-guard. I'll figure it out eventually. :)
It was the thought that counted. I love the comments JUST as much anyhow. No matter how old the post. Old but not forgotten. Heck! I'm usually good for that type of thing.
Yeah. I've been thrown off too. Since I've been using Steempeak, it's been easier than just using steemit.
how do you feel about the communities? I can't wrap my head around them. Just like the tags, i feel like they aren't organized very well but maybe that is just me being a whiny-pants.
Sorry, I was just finishing up a post about.. ummm.. Molly of course because I was stumbling around with what to write about. Dogs are a good go to when I am at a loss. Plus I can't help myself hehe.
I like using them on Steempeak and hate them on Steemit. On Steempeak you can cross post which adds another something for people to abuse. Talking with a few admins of these accounts and those who support them, they will be curating from the posts in these communities. For someone like me, a small cheese, I would need to post within them or risk being unseen and unnoticed.
I am still deciding on whether they are purposeful or a pain in the butt. Right now (as you know) are fouling the way I navigated and followed people. Now I have to remember to click on all posts tab or whatever it's called. There has to be a better design/layout. Believe you me, I can be whiny-pants too. I suppose no one really cares about me.. lol.
I also see this thing called "tribes" .. Great.. now I have to figure out what the heck that is too.
