Slink enters @svashta Writing CONTEST - Constrained writing #6
Continuing adventures of Slink
The red headed purple Squirrel
Slink had to go somewhere else.
He could stand the stench no more.
It was the bubbles, the ground should not fizz.
The fizzy ground was driving him nuts.
Brandow's great grand-pa seemed excited by it.
He like the fizzy ground, Slink did not understand.
Why would Brandow’s gramps like the fizzy ground.
Ground and puddles should not be fizzy.
They should not be smelly either Slink thought.
Slink climbed to his tree home, he was dejected.
He looked around at all his gathering.
It was beginning to smell like the water.
All that work; he was set for winter, now not.
He would have to start over somewhere else.
This late in the season, would he have time?
Slink took one last look and left his home.
He wandered over to Brandows deck.
Slink slunk into the chair Brandow had made.
Slink watched Brandow make his way over.
"Whats wrong Slink?" Brandow asked.
"The smell makes me dizzy," Slink replied.
"Also my home smells and my winter food."
"Brandow listened with concern, he had to help Slink."
"You can move in with me Slink," Brandow said.
Slink looked up at Brandow tilting his head thinking.
Slink studied Brandow from the top down.
He jumped out the chair and hopped toward Brandow.
For the first time ever Slink jumped on Brandow.
He started at the knees, sniffing as he climbed.
Slink climbed up to Brandow’s shoulder sniffing his neck.
“Your ears need cleaning. Thank you. I accept.”
And that is how Slink found a new home.

O-kay....I understand you are new here. A couple of things, I looked at your 4 post. 3 images with no mention of where they came from, who took them, and no words to accompany them of your own. Just the pictures. If you use pictures from the internet, you must provide a source for them. Blatantly asking for votes and follows will get you neither.
Write something, use some of your own pictures, make an effort at being original. Then people may or may not vote for you and or follow you. You are treading dangerous ground with your actions of the last four days and could be down flagged to oblivion by some people.
I looked at the contest. Could not understand it. Glad you did. I will tell you what slink will do next. Once in life I given a room to a homeless man. One day I found a hooker brought in by him. Had to kick him out. Next was an Irish traveler who stole minor things. Had to kick her out. I am not sure if slink will be all nice.
I'm not even sure if he is housebroken, and you know how squirrels like to root around in everything, The sock drawer will be trashed.LoL. ;-} It is fun just having fun.
How do we know it's not slink typing right now? Squirrels are smart, yanno?
Yeah, especially them red headed ones.
What about the contest did you not understand? What do I need to change?
The thing I did not understand was how the winner is determined. I think what you are doing is great. If you can clarify how the winner is chosen, it might be helpful. The story with most upvotes or comments? Or is it manual and based on your like and discretion?
It is based on my own preference, yes.
While this imposes a certain amount of bias, since I may like one idea of the story more than the other or prefer one style of writing over another, I still believe it is, at least at this stage of the contest, the most fair way to judge.
Upvotes can be bought, and even further, both upvotes and comments are not merely a result of the quality of one's post. The attention a post gets is sadly not determined by its quality, but by the posting/resteeming hour, number of (active) followers that are online at the time to see it, number of real life friends/acquintances on Steemit and so forth. Hence, deciding a winner based on the number of upvotes/comments/current payout is very unfair (Without even beginning to speak of the posts that get upvotes by @curie that skyrocket the payout).
I am also open to give the deciding factor over to another judge, if you contact me over on steemit.chat, but I will only allow fellow writers to be judges so as to keep the contest at a high quality level.
So to answer your question in a "Too long; didn't read" manner:
Picking a winner is manual and on my own discretion.
No, keep it the way it is. It is beautiful. It is YOUR contest you shall be the judge. Thanks for explaining. BTW I am liking @bashadow squirrels. I am following you now to read more of your contests
I am very glad to hear you like the contest! :D
Happy to have you on board! ^.^
An interesting story indeed, I'm very glad to have found your content ^^
