Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.25) - Apple of happiness.

I hope that all of you are happy no matter where you live or what the environment is around you!

I called my next drawing "Apple of Happiness."

You might think that we are talking about an apple after biting a piece of which a person immediately becomes happy... an interesting option but in this case the apple carries only a metaphorical meaning.

If you pick an apple from a tree and cut it into several parts and give it to different people to try then someone will say that this apple is great and he has never eaten anything tastier and someone will say that the apple is not sweet enough or without sourness which he loves, not soft enough not elastic enough, too tart not aromatic enough there will always be different opinions on the same subject.

Therefore an apple is very similar to human happiness which someone finds by the sea someone in the mountains someone dreams and gets a dense forest around them and someone found their happiness among swamp hummocks.... last option the most unsightly but this also happens.

Yesterday I decided to depict a house in the swamps.

It will be far from us a little closer to the horizon.

We will not know how happy the person living there is but judging by the fact that the man built a house in the swamps he believed that this was the best place to live.

And of course there will be symbolism in the foreground namely the apple of happiness.

Yesterday I decided to combine business with pleasure relax a little during the day and draw.

As a child I liked to draw while lying on the beach but I didn’t do anything in bed either.

The beginning of the whole drawing was a sketch of an apple.

An apple cannot please everyone and may have some flaws.

While I was drawing the apple I was thinking about what would surround it but I didn’t have the whole idea for the drawing right away.

This apple did not levitate in the air it hung on the branch of a wild apple tree.

Above the horizon, I depicted a house in the swamps to which the path should lead.

I am sure that if you settle in swamps you will want to drain them a little and dig a small stream bed so that excess water flows away such thoughts will build a bridge over the stream.

In swamps there is rarely a shining transparent sky most often it is gray in color even when there are no clouds in the sky so I decided to create a slightly authentic atmosphere of the swamp climate and tinted the sky with graphite.

Time passed quickly maybe in an hour the drawing was ready and I was able to close the sketchbook and turn to my side to fall asleep for another hour.
