New Steem brings more exciting news - Esteem now takes only 3% beneficiary rewards

I'm really glad to see what Newsteem brings us. A few days back I wrote an article on bid bots shutting down. Today I read another interesting news about esteem reducing the beneficiary rewards they are taking from the posts made using their app. To be honest I always had concerns about this after newsteem because most of the esteem app users are low profile users and the rewards they get itself is quite low and when DApps take beneficiary rewards, then the efforts of some authors go in vain.

I'm glad to see that Esteem is taking a big step towards removing the beneficiary rewards completely. I definitely understand that they cannot be fully functional without taking beneficiary rewards because they will also have to pay for the server costs and other costs. But after the new Steem, the rewards everyone get from the curation reward should be sufficient to manage the costs and it should technically be possible to manage with curation rewards and to not be dependent on beneficiary rewards.

I'm glad that esteem made that decision and I hope the other communities and DApps will also consider taking this decision to reduce or remove the beneficiary rewards they take from the posts. It will be good and motivating for the authors. I also like the ESTM points they have introduced. Today I tried using that on one of my posts to get some rewards. I didn't get any vote and then I realized that I did not follow the guidelines properly.

I'm suspecting that this great move by the team will now bring more users to the platform and many people will start using esteem app. Early adopters can get a good advantage in terms of esteem points because now the reward pool will be used only by a few folks and when more users come in the ESTM reward pool might give lesser rewards. Well, I'm not sure on this but just thinking loud.
