My Steemmonsters Adventure - Trying to enter Silver League

I have been playing steemmonsters game for the past few days. It's been a great enjoyment and my progress in the game has been really going well. I have not purchased any additional cards yet apart from the ones that I came to me as part of the starters pack. I have managed to complete the daily quests for the past two days. It looks like with the current cards that I have, it can take exhausting efforts to each reach silver league. I have been continuously trying for the past few hours. But I'm sure I will make it to the silver league.

The advantage in moving up the ladder with respect to the ratings is that I will be able to grab more cards towards the end of the league. There is also another possibility where I can participate in tournaments and grab some steem rewards if I win. But I will take some more time before entering the tournaments. So far the game has been a great experience for me because I can actually choose how I want to progress and when I want to play. There is no compulsion that I should be spending lots of hours on this game. And if I do spend some money and time in this game, the progression can be really good.

Being a free player

I think I can call myself a free player because I have not spent any money yet in the game apart from what I spent on buying the starter pack. I feel tempted seeing the listing in the market because there are some great deals all ready to buy some interesting cards. Maybe I might end up purchasing some cards from the market just to progress faster in the game. But I'm sure that we can definitely be just a free player in this game without making any additional purchases. For someone who is planning to be a free player throughout, the game would still be enjoyable. It is not mandatory that you have to purchase any cards to progress in the game.

Battles are still a puzzle to me

When the day started, I was almost near the silver league and I was about to grab it with few games. But unfortunately, there was a losing streak that came up and reduced my rating from 954 to below 850. I also noticed that I'm not so great at choosing cards for the game. It can maybe because I'm still new to the game and also because I don't have sufficient cards to create a great team for the matches. I'm learning all these things slowly and I think I will be able to get hands on this real soon.

I also found a few other ways to get some cards and that is through giveaways. There are few people who do giveaways on a daily basis and I try to be a part of their giveaways to get some cards. So far I was able to grab one card from the giveaways.
