How does coffe affects you and your brain? ☕️☕️

Today I wanna talk about a drink, that some people saying that they can't live without. Yes that is COFFE. It is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, which are the seeds of berries from the Coffea plant. Most plants are placed in tropical Africa, but also in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia and India. Most of us think that coffe has "power" and give energy for all day. But is it really like that? I want to show you, how exactly works for us, this "God" drink.





  • Caffeine is the most commonly used psychoactive drug in the world. Rarely somebody to know that caffeine is in a fact, a drug and most used psychoactive drug in the entire world. So that I didn't think that is a good drug. Caffeine has psychoactive effects, and changes the way we feel and interact with the world around us. But not much does of caffeine decrease tension in muscles, relax and also make you in good mood. So let's think that more people on the planet can't live without it. Neuroscientists from Harvard has hypothesised that caffeine shall cooperate with electricity. This allowes you to avoid sleep and keeps you from wakefulness. Also caffeine can also improve your memory and logic thinking.




  • Caffeine doesn't just boost alertness, it can also improve your mood. By blocking adenosine's relaxing effects, caffeine lets dopamine and glutamine (other natural stimulants produced by your brain) run wild, making you more alert, less bored, and providing a mood boost. A amount of studies have foud connection between caffeine consumption and decrease risk of depresion especially when people consumed it in coffe form. Researches saying that caffeine lowers risk of suicide for men. Also one of the researches found this same effect for tea as well.




  • How caffeine affects heart? Daily dose of caffeine over 250 mg (it's about 2-3 cups of coffe) rise pressure for 5-10 mmHg. As it turns out, after 2-3 days of regullary consumed coffe, our organism is adjusting for this dose of caffeine and didn't react by increasing blood pressure. However, after several hours of abstinence from coffe, the organism staring to react for caffeine in this same way.




  • One cup of espresso at morning raises level of stress hormone - cortisole. Cortisole causes that the fat accumulates on your belly. Not suprising that after drinking coffe you have mood for something sweet.




  • Caffeine can help you in treating migraines. Caffeine causes narrowing of blood vessels in brain. That encourages mitigating some migraines pain.




  • Canadian studies shows that drinking coffe decreases breast cancer for women which have bigger chances for this through hereditary mutation in BRCA genes.

as a coffee addict & coder, I cannot see myself living without my 10 cups of brew a day :-)

Fortunately I prefer tea than coffe, you can also try tea like yerba mate which have also caffeine and works better than coffe :)

I know it's unhealthy but I really can't live without coffee. I drink about 2 cups in the morning and it gives me a better mood.

To balance out the damages, I eat more vegetables now in the past 6 months especially.

It's also kind of important to drink a lot of water afterwards ,I feel like I am dehydrated by coffee, so I drink a lot of water during the day.

I hope this covers the damages done by coffee.

You should try to drink green tea. As it turns out it has also caffeine. I'm drinking tea every morning and I notice I have more energy after and it really affects me in good way also for kidneys. So I highly recommend it! :)

Since you are into fitness, you know the effects caffeine has on our body. I'm also addicted to coffee, but generally I limit myself to one cup per day. But we can't deny the benefits of caffeine.
The point being anything in excess is harmful. If you're able to limit the dosage it can work wonders for you. Nice article though!!!

I will do more research on nootropics and caffeine pills :) I heard it's better than coffee, probably gonna do article soon :)

I don't really drink coffee, only tea that contains some caffeine :)
