This beautiful bird is known in my country as a spectacled owl. It is native to Latin America and its scientific name is Pulsatrix perspicillata, belongs to the Pulsatrix genus.
This photograph, I took it months ago, with a Panasonic Lumix DMC.FZ50 camera, in a visit to the town of La Azulita, in the state of Merida. Which is recognized for its great diversity of birds. It is a tourist site for those who like to observe birds.
