Credentials for Health Workers

One of the requirements for health workers when assessing hospital accreditation is that credentials have been carried out. The principle of credentials is to protect patient safety, ensuring that every health worker has a clinical assignment letter and the suitability of the authority with the competency of that health worker. Because the credentials of health workers are closely related to evaluating the quality of the profession and monitoring of professional ethics and the enforcement of discipline for these health workers.

According to the regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, for health workers who will follow the credentials must meet several requirements including having a diploma as a health worker, having a registration certificate as a health worker and having a practice license from the government.

Responding to these provisions, today I as the chair of the committee in charge of health workers in hospitals coordinate with all representatives of health workers in order to carry out the credential process.

According to the tentative schedule that we have set, all assessors must carry out credentials for their respective health workers starting next week within one week.

After the credential process is carried out, we later on the committee must recommend to the hospital director that a clinical assignment letter be issued as a guide for health workers in working in the hospital.
