[EN]Current Status - It's Better Than Expected!

in #blog8 years ago (edited)

Hi Everybody !

I went yesterday for a consultation with the doctor and it came out pretty much better than expected !

As some or many of you know already I twisted my knee about a week and a half ago and almost break it at the slope while doing snowboarding.

It been pretty harsh days for me but quite interesting since this was the very first time that i ever wear a gypsum and I must say that it was quite a fun experience. I even went to te gym with one leg only and that was very rewarding experience. Probably today I will be back to gym as well!

Back to the schedule with the doctor, he made some studies on me of ultrasound or something like that and came out that only the soft tissue is hurt, pretty hurt... but also recovering pretty fast.

Four days ago I couldn't walk, yesterday I could even almost run (as good as a handicap person could).

So I don't know what you think about it, but this is being a really good recovery so far!

As for what is coming... I will probably be fully recovered after 6 to 8 weeks, which means that maybe I will even be able to do some snowboarding before the season ends my fellows !! How cool is that?? To not have to wait until next year! :D

I will have to wear a guide for the leg when i am out of home, but at least the gypsum is out and I don't have to wear it anymore at the moment!! :D

This is pretty good news and also means that I will be able to train at gym without problems, I will probably train legs with no weight on my hurt leg and keep the normal workout for the rest of the body.

I will probably stop posting updates about my current status since I am in good hands and in a good path now,
but I would like to know if you would want me to share gym tips, calisthenics freestyle moves and more in future posts,
I would love to know about it =)

Thanks a lot for your support and I see you in the next one!

I always try to listen to the ideas of my fellow followers to improve my posts and to give something back to the community... therefor: What would you like the next posts to be about? What should I talk about? What kind of painting? Would you like some tutorials about arts, about cooking? Maybe some fresh gaming broadcast? I would love to know!

I apologize if I don't reply to your message. Sometimes I can't find enough time for it. But you can be sure that I will read it!

Bye!

Good to hear everything went well and that you're recovering :) :) This weekend I will go for snowboarding without you, but at leat I could practise till you're back on track!!

Great to hear that you are doing better and that you can still get to the gym and work out. My friend tore their miniscus and that is a nasty thing. Lucky you were able to avoid that injury in your knee. -@bozz

I'm glad you are getting along in your recovery. The very first time I went snowboarding I twisted my knee pretty bad thinking I was going to be a badass and make a big jump.....Long story short I had to get pulled down the mountain in a sled....... :( It didn't look very badass...... Hope you get in before the season ends buddy.

I just finished my first digital painting in procreate and if you have the time I would be very grateful for a critique: https://steemit.com/art/@art-mess/speed-painting-of-my-first-digital-portrait-on-procreate-video
