Still... Better Twisted Than Broken !
As you may know, not so long ago I started again (after a whole year of my very first time doing snowboarding) with this amazing winter sport! It was fairly amazing until now so far, but well... the shit has to happen from time to time, right?
Two of my coolest friends (who are actually a couple) told me yesterday "Yo Nic! How about we go to do some snowboarding together!". And of course I couldn't resist!
It started pretty well, really chilled out experience for few hours. I even wanted to start going few steps forward and getting started with some freestyle tricks! And I freaking did! I started doing something we call The Retard Sam (which is like doing some kind of wheelie) and I even discovered Hungry Peter! (turning once and over and over again to the same side, left or right). (And yes, I made up those names).
It was SO cool to be able to do these tricks. But the day was already advanced and the slope was damaged already. If you know the terminology... there were potato fields everywhere.
And yes, one of the potatoes attacked me!
I didn't see it coming but one of those bumps was behind of me when I was turning, and my board (with legs) got into one direction and my torso into another... so one of my knees got trapped on the board and moved to the side in a horrible way.
This picture does not make justice of it, but believe me... it was really painful.
I can't describe the pain I felt. It was way too high, I would say 10 over 10, maybe 9.8... but indeed it was really,
really painful, everything else just faded away and I needed to hit the snow, my leg, myself in order to feel another kind of pain to stop feeling that strong pain.
(If you think this was weird... this is actually that I do pretty often at gym when I train heavy. When I finish the series sometimes i feel so much pain on the muscles that I need to hit them, and pretty strong)
Back to the story...
...I had that accident and I had the chair to go back to the base of the mountain behind at 100 meters. But man,
I couldn't go up, my knee was too hurt.
A lot of people passed by and unfortunately when they saw that I didn't speak polish they just went away...
but hey, the view was amazing :D
My friends took care of me as soon as I got onto the bar. I couldn't walk well but I went the rest of the km of the slope walking and falling. They bought me a hot tea (actually a kompot) and took care of me for a while, made me laugh, we had fun of my silliness and then back to home.
Adrenaline rush been there for almost 10 hours, until we went out from the hospital, but that's story for few lines after ;)
It was funny because every five minutes the pain was so strong that my face was changing from smile to freaking pain.
Anyway. My lady insisted to take me to the hospital to see if everything was way too wrong. And, it kinda was...
...I got one of my knee tendons half broken and I needed to put a heavy cast on it. Still, no need to be so worried, sad or angry. I just god damn enjoyed the moment!
I've never been on a wheelchair! it was such a fun experience!!! I tried to do this wheelie thing and keep the balance at the top, but honestly my leg was hurting me too much every time i tried so I decided to just move around,
to not stay in one place because I am like an unchained dog.
Now everything is fine, I just got back to my home and I am trying to keep calm down. I have trouble for walking here and there and make my juicy daily cappuccino (even tho' I got the kitchen at five meters from my desk).
But this is a whole new experience, and I kinda like it! So I just stay positive :D
Don't wanna add too many words, but I will rush you with some pictures from yesterday before the incident!
I hope you like this slope, it was really nice and worthy (if you live at the south of Poland =))
Stay positive my fellows, and I don't know if you saw it yet, but a REALLY talented and great buddy of mine just got into steemit, please don't forget to go there and give him some support, he will be posting soon new material from his.
He is a great composer and even greater person. Go and say hi to @clayjr!!
Thanks a lot for your support and I see you in the next one!

I always try to listen to the ideas of my fellow followers to improve my posts and to give something back to the community... therefor: What would you like the next posts to be about? What should I talk about? What kind of painting? Would you like some tutorials about arts, about cooking? Maybe some fresh gaming broadcast? I would love to know!
I apologize if I don't reply to your message. Sometimes I can't find enough time for it. But you can be sure that I will read it!
Bye!

Thank you so much for all your support, you're truly a great friend @anritco ! I cannot repair your knee in return, unfortunately, but I do can teach you how to make sushi though! Take care!
ohh relax buddy, my body is already working on that ;)
ouch! pobrecito! sorry to hear that! I twisted me knee during one of long Polish winters years ago. Good thing is that as physiotherapy (few wakes after the casket was taken off of course) was advised to cycle so I cycled my sorrows away ;)

Muchas gracias por tus palabras =)
Y si, shit happens! se que prontito me sentire mejor y volvere a caminar, no pasa nada, son cosas que pasan ;)
That's why i dont snowboard... i already have a torn meniscus, i don't want to get a torn tendon or anything else torn...
Just rest and you will be right back up @antrico ! Stay safe and don't do too many wheelies with your wheelchair
Oh man, that sucks, I honestly hope you can enjoy some winter sports at some point of your life, they are just amazing and soooo rewarding, this won't stop me for coming back, maybe this year even to do some more snowboarding ;)
But you know how it is, maybe i ll have to wait for next season to open :(
My winters sports consist of me going from the chair to the refrigerator, and from the fridge to the gym
hahaha well mine was as well, with a little teaspoon of snowboard :P
Get well and continue next year!
Will do! Thanks for your nice wishes @sadovskaya! =))
Oh no, such bad luck! I totally know the feeling having been there a few times myself... Hopefully you'll be back on that snowboard next season! Get well soon! :)
Thanks Helen! I hope it too! Maybe even this season before it ends ;)
Hopefully! But remember to not rush it... :)
Get well!
Thank you! Will try! =)
