Steemit Statistics (as of 2023-09-14)

In my previous post, I asked "Is there any way to check Steem active user statistics or the number of posts per country (language)?" I found the similarweb statistics site recommended by @Etainclub to be very useful, but I couldn't get the statistical information I wanted.

The reason why I want to get statistics is to estimate the revenue when developing a Dapp service utilizing the Steem blockchain.

So, I used the Steemit API (condenser_api.get_discussions_by_created) to get the data of all the posts created during the day of 9/14 and calculate the statistics.

It took quite a bit of time to fetch all the posts for the day.

Conclusion

I'm using upvu, steempro, nutbox, and ECble. Looking at the usage, these apps have very low usage compared to the official steemit. wormhole3 and onlyfun apps have the highest usage after steemit, but I don't know much about them. The onlyfun community posts data that is hard to understand, so it seems that onlyfun is a community created for a specific purpose.

If you want to develop a dapp utilizing the Steem blockchain, I would recommend supporting five languages (English, Korean, Spanish, Bengali, and Indonesian). Having your app available in multiple languages will help you attract diverse users within the blockchain ecosystem.

Also, given the fragmented nature of the community, it doesn't make sense to develop a dapp for a specific community. Instead, it is important to target different communities and provide opportunities for different users to utilize and interact with the app. This will increase the diversity and scalability of the blockchain ecosystem.
