Syrian Army prepares to kickoff last offensive against ISIS
BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 A.M.) - The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is preparing to kickoff their last major offensive against the Islamic State (ISIS), as more reinforcements reach the eastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate in eastern Syria.
Led by their elite Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army has been heavily striking the Islamic State's positions in the Badiya Al-Sham region of the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
Furthermore, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) has been launching a number of airstrikes over this region, while reinforcements continue to safely travel along the highway to the cities of Al-Mayadeen and Albukamal.
With ISIS still wrecking havoc in this desert region, the Syrian Arab Army has made the decision to finally clear this area in order to secure the Deir Ezzor Governorate once in for all.
While the Syrian Army attempts to clear the Albukamal and Al-Mayadeen countrysides, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are busy trying to capture the key town of Hajjin, which is believed to be the Islamic State's last major stronghold in Syria.
