More Army troops arrive at Aleppo for upcoming offensive
DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:30 P.M.) - Huge reinforcements continue to pour into northern Syria as the government forces prepare for a full-scale offensive against jihadi groups.
The deployment of forces along the front-lines in northwest Aleppo foreshadows a potential assault in conjunction with the long-awaited Idlib offensive currently being prepared for by the Syrian Army.
Troops from the SAA's elite Republican Guards – along with local pro-government forces – were spotted taking positions in several points along the front-lines with Nusra group.
This comes as the Syrian government seek to secure the city of Aleppo from rebel aggression once and for all.
