My Name is Alfredo Costa and I´m Fucking Excited!
Hi, guys!
This is my first entry to Steem It and I must say... after 3 weeks waiting for the confirmation, it was about time!
Let´s talk about music, cats, dogs and bunnies, shall we?
My name is Alfredo Costa, I live in Portugal and I´m a portuguese/capeverdian musician. Also, and proudly, one of the latest Open Mic winners. I´m the singer of Matryoshka, @pedromrmourato is the guitar player. This was our first entry for OpenMic which granted us the first place. Awesome start, no?
These are the last entries. Beatles´s "Eleanor Rigby". One of our favourite renditions. The feedback we´re getting couldn´t be better and we feel that people are really enjoying and gathering around our music.
And then we decided to play a portuguese song (our own language) while paying tribute to one of the best bands here in Portugal. Amor Electro´s "Rosa Sangue". Pedro (@pedromrmourato) chose to use his acoustic guitar, instead of the electric, which I believe really made the song travel to a very special place.
In 2014 I started in the portuguese "The Voice". Choosen from 10.000, I got to the finals, ending in the last 8.
This was my blind audition. It was quite an honour to turn all the chairs.
Well, moving on. I think my relationship with music started a long time ago. Can´t really say when. But as far as I can remember there was always music around me. My mother was absolutely passionate about "Fado", a very portuguese kind of music, related to a very portuguese word/feeling called "saudade". Saudade means, moreless, "longing". So, the music Is trully deep and emotional, while the lyrics (made by the finest poets of our history) are just breathtaking.
As a composer, I have a band, called Skills And The Bunny Crew! People say we sound like a dope marriage between RATM, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Incubus.
And some crazy ass friends.
My dog and cats, by the way. You will probably see them more often as they enjoy to be part of whatever I´m doing.

Well, this is it, for now. I hope to bring you guys more of my work as a singer and composer, maybe some other cool videos, share a bit of my passion for photography.
