The arrival of Gizmo

Greetings steemians and friends readers, I tell you that in my family since my children were very small they had always been saying they wanted a puppy.
They asked for it on their birthday, for the day of the child and at Christmas every year, it seemed that it was ritual every time one of those dates approached all my little ones started with the same song.

His insistence was so much that they finally convinced me and finally I agreed to have a puppy, but I put my conditions "because having a dog implies a great responsibility and care towards him" I explained to my children.

Being already in agreement with my terms and the corresponding rules we began to think that race or where we were going to buy it and it occurred to me that because instead of buying one, we would adopt one that has no home, the idea was accepted by all sincerely I think they did not care much about the origin of their pet, what they wanted was to have a pet.

That way we went to an animal collection center and started to see all the dogs, some were already big and had a lot of time there, others were brave but when we got to the cage where the Gizmo family was, we were told by those who attended the place that was a family of dogs in which the mother had given birth a month before, then there were 5 puppies in that cage; The mother, and her 4 puppies, but one of them the youngest one, moved me a lot, because we saw how everyone was breastfeeding and because they were the smallest they did it on one side and for that reason I was smaller and malnourished.

It broke our hearts to hear that, so we decided to take that one, to Gizmo, as we named him by his resemblance to a gremlin when he was little.

His first visit to the veterinarian was alarming because his doctor told us that he was malnourished and anemic apart from having a large amount of parasites, so he left us an eye for all his medicines and vaccines, now that I think it would have been cheaper to buy one of race, but the weights that we would have saved does not compare with the satisfaction that it feels to see him now as a pretty and playful strong dog.

So my recommendation for those who want to have a puppy or a pet is that instead of buying it, first investigate how to adopt one, maybe there is one to rescue and he is waiting for you.
