Greetings to everyone! This is the continuation of the story about skills, difficulties and peculiarities which await you if you decide to connect your life with music as a professional artist.

The previous time I told you about how and where the average musician can find a job. Today we will talk about what formats of work an artist may have in clubs, bars and restaurants.

The most inconspicuous format is background music. Musicians playing quiet lounge music are often not noticed at all. On the one hand, it's a shame, because you somehow resemble furniture to people.

On the other hand, you can safely sing, play and think about something of your own, without straining.

The next format is called welcome. Welcome is a meeting of guests. This is also lounge music, but brighter, because guests may sometimes look at you, are the face of this event.

Another format is concert songs. This is a convenient format, because for one concert song you can earn as well as for a couple of hours of background music. This format requires professionalism and the ability to hold the attention of the public.

The songs that you perform should be bright, costumes for each number need to be changed. You should also get into the image very fast and broadcast your energy and artistry to the audience.

Dance blocks are also a separate format. Usually you need to perform all the most incendiary songs andonly one slow song.

Very often you sing at your last breath: quickly, cheerfully, energetically, and still there will definitely be someone who will come up and say: can you sing anything faster? As if you were singing something very slow before.

Finally, there is the format of a solo concert. But this is a separate topic.
