KnackSteem is an open source platform that is built on the Steem blockchain to reward talents on a much broader scale that eradicates partiality and infuses transparency on the Steem blockchain. KnackSteem is aimed at rewarding creative and talented writers who are passionate to promote their cultures and interests. Knack means Talent and with Steem being a Rewarding System, the name KnackSteem simply means Talent Rewarding System. This project is founded and headed by @knowledges

How to Get Started with KnackSteem

To get started with knackSteem, one has to visit the website; https://knacksteem.org/ and login with a steem account.

If you do have a steem account, you can get one at steemit.com or you can an instant steem account at Steem Ninja

Next, you have to login by clicking on the blue login icon located at the top right hand corner of your screen.

Then, authorise steemconnect to login on KnackSteem. Steemconnect is a save and secure login tool on the steem blockchain.

How to Create a Post on KnackSteem

• After a successful login on KnackSteem, you can go head and start writing a post by clicking on pencil icon on the top right hand corner of your screen and close to your profile picture.

• A text editor will appear and you can start writing.

• Title: Write out the title of your post.

• Story: Describe your content in the story section.

• Choose File: This option purposely to upload photos. Clicking on this option will bring your device file manager and you can navigate and select the picture you want to upload.

• Tags: Add the necessary tags that best describe your photo(s).

• Rewards: You can select you want to receive the reward for your post. You can select 50% SBD and 50%SP or 100% SP or decline payout rewards. SP means Steem Power.

• Preview: You can preview your post and proof-read to check grammatical errors and spelling errors or just see what it would like when it is published.

• Finally, click on Post to publish your photos to the Steem blockchain.

• User Profile: KnackSteem provides a user profile that shows all posts the user has made as well details about the voting power and vote value.

• Home Menu: KnackSteem has a menu on the homepage. The menu contains details about the KnackSteem platform and by exploring the details on this menu, users can learn more about the platform and how to get started. Through this

1. Sponsors: These shows a list of those who are support the KnackSteem project with Steem Power delegations to help ensure the smooth running of the platform. These sponsors are eligible to 12% of all posts made through the KnackSteem front end.

2. Moderators: This is a team of professionals that review all posts or contributions made on the KnackSteem platform. @knowledges and @tykee are the current moderators of KnackSteem.

3. Guidelines: Contains a well written and detailed guidelines to follow before writing a post on KnackSteem. The guidelines are briefly given for each of the nine categories of KnackSteem contents.

4. FAQ: The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) helps users to get answers to the most common questions or doubts that may arise about the platform.

• Knack Token (KNT): Knack token is the official token that is used to carry out transactions on Knacksteem. These tokens are also awarded to users for their contributions to the platform. KNT can currently be traded to Steem and SBD.

• Reward System: The post reward system on the KnackSteem platform is based on the score given by a moderator. This score can range from 0 to 100. The higher the score, the higher reward and this is capped at a maximum of 250 Knack tokens for a particular post.

Suggestion to Improve KnackSteem

As of now, KnackSteem only permit users to log into the platform through steemconnect. Recent times have proven that there seems to be a bug with steemconnect and users sometimes have to login after several attempts. Thus, My suggestion will be to adopt or employ other login methods like the Steem keychain and traditional method of login with a steem username and corresponding posting key.

Conclusion

KnackSteem is one application on the Steem blockchain that I admire as it quite unique in its purpose or aim. Personally, I think that not letting talents go to waste or giving an opportunity for people to explore their talents is a great initiative. Moreover, KnackSteem has a very simple and beautiful interface for a good user experience. I would definitely recommend it to all those who can explore their talents and creativity in writing.
