Hockey trials

About 2 weeks ago I had hockey trials for my school senior first team. In the morning of that day I woke up so late but it was okay cause it was a Saturday. I got butterflies in my stomach as soon as my feet touch the floor . I started to stress and didn't want to go for trials . I started to think of all the perks of being in the first team like we get a special kit to play in that no other team plays in ,we get sponsored by a brand and/or a company, we also get a new hockey bag . The best perk of being in the first team is that we get to go on tours and tournaments that the rest don't go on. I got dressed and ask my dad to take me . It was the same day my mother when in for her op . I got to the school with an hour before the trials start. I decided to practice before the trials start. Before I knew it , it was time. They were like 30 guys at the trials for a 14 men team. We started and I was playing forward, there were 2 teams. The Ref blew and we started. It was about 5 minutes in and my team scored. We one up and the Ref blew to restart about 10 minutes before the end of the first half and the other team scored . There was no tension in the atmosphere but it was just trials people took it like it was a match against a different team. It was half time and the score was 1-1 . We switched sides and began to play again. We were playing for about 20 minutes and they score. We were losing 2-1 and we needed to another one so we can at least draw. About 5 minutes before the game was over we finally scored. The final score was 2-2, it was at least a draw no one won and no one lost. Straight after they showed the results and i looked straight for my name and it was there. I was finally in the schools first team.
