Sunset Over Granite - North Lake Tahoe, Nevada
North Lake Tahoe shores are lined by huge granite boulders. For an alpine environment that gets a lot of snow and crazy weather, Lake Tahoe still boasts 274 days of sunshine a year! That's a haven for a landscape photographer - I've always walked home with awesome sunset/sunrise shots 95% of the time I go out shooting in North Lake Tahoe.
How to get to Lake Tahoe?
Drive!
There's a couple of airports nearby and certainly shuttles and buses, but you'll be missing out on the really cool spots around the lake if you don't have a car. I recommend you circle the lake, it encompasses multiple highways such as Highway 89, 50, and 28.

This just gave me idea where to travel and what I definitely need to see! Added to my planners- to do list, so whenever I will decide to travel I will come back and see this. This is just great! And thank you not just for sharing photo but telling how to get there too! Now it is much more easier for me! Really helpful. Now I think I will dream all day about this place. Stunning the way you've captured the fine textures of the granite.
The slower shutter speed has given real life to the waves... I always struggle with the slow shutter speeds.
