SteemFest iPad
Previously condemned to the box of physically perfect yet unusable Apple devices, this iPad Mini 2 has been resurrected for SteemFest 3.
Like most Apple devices older than a few years, the operating system is stellar, the hardware is great, but the apps either don't work anymore (divorced by the developer), or Apple has artificially slowed down the device in order to encourage you to go buy the new one to help save battery life :)
I just want to take a moment to shout out to Netflix! Their app works seamlessly still on even my oldest devices. No wonder they've taken the industry by storm. I won't be surprised if I'd soon be able to watch Netflix on my watch when the hardware is capable.
So what else is on the iPad?
- Well, I've got the Netflix app, of course, with already downloaded shows - in case :)
- SteemFest App - I've got that loaded on there because of the larger screen than my iPhone.
- Kraków guide and map
- A book I've been reading about blockchain technology.
That's pretty much it! Not even Safari runs quickly enough on this thing anymore. For some reason also, I can't watch DTube on this - it just doesn't display. Busy.org doesn't display either. Steemit shows, but it runs very slowly. I wonder if it's due to how much is going on locally on the browser when using this blockchain.

That's funny I just remember that I've abandoned my ipad2 for the same reason: the slowness and the fact that some new apps would not work. I will dig for it in my mom's attic when i will go there at the beginning of december :D Now that i know that netflix is working is such a plus. Never had netflix before but who knows what life may bring :D

i've got an ipad2 somewhere with a bust screen. great little workhorse it was.
Found out your blog due to the steemfest tag and I gotta say I love your blogging style man. Too bad I decided to miss this Steemfest once again to meet many interesting souls over there.
I have the habit to make some reading material ready while I'm going to board a long hours flight. Even tried to write Steem blogs on my phone when I was in the middle of the air before.
But hey, stop trying to torture your eyes that way haha.
