STEEM-powered - all the way to Poland
With a bit of luck and some more content produced on the Steem blockchain, I will be attending Steemfest 3, which is taking this November in Kraków, Poland.

On a side note, the post is at the top of Trending (result!) along with another cool announcement from @utopian.tasks - both are big news!
Last year I was lucky enough to go to Steemfest 2 and yeah, pretty cool, I want to go to the 3rd event! The flights and Hotel are looking to be around the same cost as last year, perhaps even a bit cheaper, nice!
As a minnow and having only been active a couple of months when last years event was announced, I wrote about having some concerns, but I didn't need to have worried.

There were a number of competitions to win Tickets/Flights that went on from the announcement to pretty much the week prior to the event, I'm hoping for the more of the same this year.

On the run up to the festival, I tried to gather some data on the attendees, it was a bit hit n miss :)

Whilst at the event, I managed a blog on the goodie bag and some other observations. (Others did far better, and I remember seeing @exyle and @heiditravels recording their vlogs during the day - smart!)

So, Steemfest - did I make the most of it? I don't think so. Do I think it was worth the trip - absolutely.
If you've joined Steem recently and are interested in the developments, the community projects, or even just chatting to people over a game of pool, don't worry about being a newbie - I was last year and loved it, even though I was sick and unsociable - Will do better this time!
Going to need more than a sweatshirt this year!

I only started on Steemit this year, don't have the cash or enough payouts from here to then to make the trip... Wish i had heard about steem before, i'm from portugal and i could have gone last year :(
Hope you guys have fun! Next year, hopefully, i'll have enough cash to go anywhere on planet earth :P
Ahh, a shame! Lisbon would have been perfect.
I must say that the 'spending money' required is pretty small, especially if you get breakfast at the hotel included, other food and drink will be covered. See how things are looking in a month or two 😁

Yeah, i'm going to try to save the payout, it also depends on college, if i have to study I can't go either :( life is hard
It's like that it'll be the same setup as last year, a buffet for lunch and evening meal included in the ticket price, and free drinks of course ☺️

No I didn't win, I expect there to be many offering prizes. Keep an eye on the tag #steemfest
A ticket last year started at 250 to 1100. Depending on how gangster you wanted to be - the only difference seemed to be the price.
Hi Asher, it's been a long time. As I am buy in my holidays and now days i am in MALAYSIA. Steemfest is always a big thing for me to join it but I think I wouldn't make it this year due to financial reasons.
I am sure you gonna rock the Steemfest -3 for sure :) :)

For sure man! It'd be a bad decision to miss it in any case. I just have to travel from Wasraw to Krakow and traveling within Poland is quite cheap actually.

The memory of turning up in London, earlier this year and standing around the Steemit Stand, ON MY OWN, with everyone else talking to each other and me feeling like 'Gillie No Mates' doesn't help.

Yeah see, I linked those posts for the keen to spot that I had few contacts before SF2 - that has changed partly due to the event in the past 8 months, and so you could say that the investment of attending has certainly paid for itself.
