Hmmm, curation rewards almost identical to the previous month. I thought they'd dropped, but the Vests totals are very close to September.

Author rewards are down, no more blocktrades/actifit contests for a while now and so I think that will fall again next month. I'm posting less too at present - too busy!

Let me know in the comments if you would like a report for October 2019 and/or a CR chart for this year. And if you can think of anything else that would be worth adding mention it below and I'll consider it for next month.

They may be a delay but I will try to get to everyone at some point.

Cheers

Asher

Sort:

Hey Asher. You might be the guy to ask. We have an Adelaide community bot - @frogcake - which upvotes the most recent comment from 11 randomly chosen #mallsballers each day.
In order to be in the running, people need to attend at least 3 Adelaide meetups, and delegate 100 SP to the bot.
We want this delegation requirement to increase over time until its on longer lucrative to be on the bot, giving newcomers a chance at those upvotes instead, so we decided that the delegation requirement would increase for everyone, at the end of each calendar year, to 100 SP + 25% of the total (lifetime) amount awarded from frogcake votes.
steemfriends.org (no longer operational) used to let us look this up, but only in dollar terms; what I'm looking for is a tool to discern how much total Steem + SP + SBD has been upvoted by one account to another, in total, so we can let the punters know how much they need to delegate come Jan 1.
Do you know of one?

Hi Matt

From what I gather, it's quite tricky to work out how much Steem/SBD/SP an account has issued to another account. @paulag might have the formula and skills to do the job but it's beyond anything i've tackled before, sorry about that.

Hi, @abh12345
Can I have mine, plz.

The number of posts and comments will be very low - if only I could think of things to write about...

But i'm very curious about the curation and vote distribution. Unlike last time, I do have DVs this time, but I guess I can see where mine went the most by looking at your stats ;0)

!BEER

Yes you can :)

i think i know which account your are trailing

Haha, guessed right :0)
It took me a while before I decided to do so - I wasn't very familiar with any of them, and didn't know if I could trust them to do the right thing; the fact that you were on the list, eased my mind.
At first, I wasn't going to participate, but when the targets retaliated full force on @cicisja, they pissed me off. The rest is history, lol.

I really should get back to writing...

Thanks for the report!

Yeah there are plenty of retaliatory actions and one must be willing to take those, although many are being auto-countered.

My pleasure 😀

A little (lot?) off topic from your post @abh12345, but still hoping someday to see you apply your data mining wizardry to a before and after picture of SP voting distribution before and after HF 21 / 22. My focus is how well “the little people” have fared. While I know some have done okay, across the board my anecdotal evidence indicates that is the exception, not the rule. Would be great to have “just the facts ma’am” irrefutable data “out in the light.”

Maybe then a monthly “executive summary” from there, to see where the trends suggest our Steem blockchain is heading … You know, just one of these days when you are bored with nothing to do … 😉

Hi Rob

I did take a brief look at this last month but didn't really come up with anything solid. I think what I'd need to do is take a set of accounts and do a comparison of what they were earning a few months ago to what they are earning now.

I should have time starting next week as i'll be in-between jobs - thanks for the reminder :)

Thank you for letting me know @abh12345

”I did take a brief look at this last month but didn't really come up with anything solid.”

As much as you’d make any future effort for my sake, though, I will spare you any further trouble …

”I think what I'd need to do is take a set of accounts …”

… as my request was based upon the apparent mistaken thought there is some way to gather aggregate data. For the entire Steem blockchain, for whatever date range one might choose. It is (unless I am badly mistaken …), after all, a giant database of sorts …

Short of that, how you would determine which accounts represented a statistically valid sample set would seem to not be possible.

I certainly appreciate you investing your time to respond to my request. Thanks again!

P.S. Got my hands full "out here," for the moment, but clearly need to catch up with what you have written somewhere, if you are soon to be between jobs ...

Hehe, I think I will be disappointed the day I don't appear in this post!! Some good solid voting there! :0D

I was thinking the same. Thanks for keeping me company!

Not as bad as it looks, promise!

I noticed my returns dropping, I really should try and curate for returns more!

Yeah, it is a bit weird but I think it could be partly due to more being staked and that more being active stake. Stake has increased about 4% total, but since about 40% is non-voting +, that means additional active stake has more effect.

I could just be talking nonsense too, but it makes sense to me

I half thought the increased stake could be playing a part. It's a genuine toss up between that, my rubbish curation or a heady mix of the two!

Like my chart, @bashadow's has dipped too but he actually earned more Vests this past month than the one prior, hmm!

How bizarre! I will definitely have to look at upping my game even slightly

increased competition for curation rewards - bid-bots joining the game, joining circle jerks, or voting popular authors. ( kinda creating new voting circles ) it's hard to compete with 1$ automated votes at 3min :)

Shoot. Me

Edit. Either? Both?

Curious ,but know my comments have dropped on this account as using sports account for comments and curation.

Yeah same, although a poor excuse on my part.

Thanks Asher. My curation is all over the place and need to rectify that. Not a priority these days to be honest as long as I am voting. I just don't have the time I had 3 months ago with my business taking more time.

Content creation beats curating even for the larger accounts, that may have to change further for Steem to shine.

You the stats man! 😅😎

Definitely would like, I know October was a slow month for me, but it did start out good., kind of petered out there in the middle, then a slight upswing at the end.

new Job, new prospects, I was hoping you would find time for this. So thank you very much.

Just about, although having a few issues with the report side of things for some people.
