An artist - 100-word story contest

The fine brush struck the canvas with a gentle flick from experienced hands.

The figure standing for his portrait shifted his position again, breaking the Artists’ focus.

Someone in the class coughed, the artist regained awareness of her surroundings. Her classmates were completely focused on the figure they were painting.

The artist took a few steps back to inspect her work. It was nearly complete.

The canvas was a scene of colour and creativity. She made some final adjustments.

Satisfied, she sat back and watched her classmates.

There was another hour on the clock before the exam would be over.

This is my first entry to the 100-word story contest. The prompts were figure, someone.
