Usian Bolts loses final 100m race
This is a very different topic than most of my posts. Since I was a sprinter in my younger years I always try to follow what is going on in the sport of track and field.
You would have to be living without Internet and cable if you don't know who Bolt is and what he has done for the sport. It is incredible that he has won so many consecutive world championshis and Olympic finals in an event that requires so little room for error.
Even with this loss, he still goes down in history as the greatest sprinter to ever lace up. I really wish he had taken up the 200m as he was always a slower starter who had a killer top speed. It looked like he was just getting started in a 100m race.
Also it is a great end to Gatlins career which has been filled with doping scandals.
Just saw this and thought of your post:

Wow.
I sometimes wonder if Vince Mcmann should start up a track league like the XFL and not perform any drug tests. See what kind of records could be set.
I always found it fishy after Michael Johnson finally broke the 200m world record he took a brief break and then when he did come back, he lost his first 400m race after winning over 50 in a row.

It's sad that it makes me wonder about Bolt. What if he's another Lance Armstrong?
Eventually genetic editing is going to make sports even weirder than it already is. You see how many NFL players and boxers have serious health issues? I'm losing all interest in sports, which is funny considering how much time I invested in them.
amazing .. !!
He's a legend in his sport, like a Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, or Kelly Slater. Unequaled.
The Sergei Bubka of the 100m...
I was going to mention Sergei but was on my phone figured I'd butcher his name. I once heard it said if he were to do the decathlon, he would shattered every record possible. Dude was another legend for sure.
Usain Bolt is a legend. Thanks for posting about him!
This deserves some attention. Upvoted and resteemed :)

Congrats on the Steemiversary, dude! Bolt was one-of-a-kind. A living legend, some might say. As a former sprinter as well, the way he goes about things is just so amazing. I don't know if anyone would be able to match his accomplishments. Truly one of those people who would be considered the greatest sportsman of all time.
