The Diary Game 15/05/24 | Mochi

Today I want to share a part of my day with you, namely my visit to Mochi Sushi and Grill Restaurant in Vienna, which was an extremely pleasant experience for both the soul and the palate :) When we entered the establishment, we felt the atmosphere which was calm and elegant, perfect for a special occasion or just for dinner. The menu offers a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi and other delicacies.

First we tried edamame beans with horseradish and tuna sashimi slices with pickled watermelon, smoked butter, sesame and chives. The edamame was fresh and well seasoned and the sashimi was extremely tasty. The tuna was fresh and perfectly complemented the sweetness of the watermelon and the spicy flavors of the horseradish.

While enjoying our meal, we decided to try some drinks. We chose several cocktails that were refreshing and complemented our meals.

We then ordered a few sushi rolls, including shrimp, cucumber and avocado dragon rolls, and tuna and avocado rolls. They were all masterfully crafted and tastefully executed. The rice was perfectly cooked and the fish was of high quality.

It is important to note that sushi should be consumed as soon as possible after preparation, as the quality of the fish and other ingredients can deteriorate rapidly. Also, sushi is sensitive to temperature and should be refrigerated when you are not ready to eat it at the time of preparation.

We ended up taking a souvenir photo capturing the workflow with the chefs. It was interesting to see how these complicated dishes were made and how precise their techniques were. Overall, our visit to Mochi was amazing. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely come back next time we want to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine.
